We counted how many torii gates there are at Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine in Kyoto.
Fushimi Inari-taisha is a shrine that consistently ranks high on TripAdvisor's list of "Popular Tourist Attractions in Japan.
It is known for its numerous torii gates.
We went around all over the precincts of Fushimi Inari and took pictures of the torii gates.
The only torii I counted are the large ones that people can pass through.
There are many very small torii, but I did not count them.
