i think he's got promise. I don't think his junior career has been as strong as Lawson, Bortoletto or Antonelli and probably not even quite as good as Bearman but I see him being a decent driver that can put up a fight. I think the best thing about all the rookies this year, aside from MAYBE Doohan if he really underpeforms, are non of them are Latifi or Mazepin bad, they all have some good talent

In a way it feels like Liam is really the last hope for redbull if they want to remain competitive into the next few years. They’re not going to promote Yuki because of his Honda connection, so unless Hadjar surprises us all, it’s all on Liam to carry the team if Max decides to leave after this year. Also for the love of god I hope the non-stroll contingent of Aston can find a way to ship Lance off to WEC so Yuki doesn’t just fall out of the sport once Honda fully transitions away from redbull.

What's amazing is how every Verstappen team mate follows the same pattern : 1) Get promoted to redbull, find out through testing and first races that they are behind Verstappen, not by a lot but behind nontheless. 2) Realize that while they might all be good drivers, they are behind Verstappen because, like him or not, he is freakishly good at it. Like there are very few, if any, that could stand up to him on a full season in the same care currently. 3) Get frustrated to be beaten by him again and again. Altough the team would be perfectly happy for them to stay a somewhat close second they are not. They would not be racing drivers if they were 4) Start pushing themselves more and more to try and beat the little prodigy dickhead 5) Realise they can't 6) Implode 7) Rinse and repeat
