How Alpine Fell From Grace...
In today's episode I do not decide to talk about Ferrari, Red Bull, Mercedes, Mclaren or Aston Martin. Instead im diving down the rabbit hole of the French disgrace, a.k.a Alpine. The only Renault powered team on the grid that has been an abomination to their own fans. A disgrace after their former glory. A team which could compete against Michael Schumacher and Ferrari combo. All with the Renault r25 and Fernando Alonso. Alpine has plummeted to the ground with questionable team management, Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly not being able to get along and a car that can be mistaken for a bicycle. Its no longer a world champion winning team in F1, instead Alpine has pulled off the biggest fall from grace in Formula 1 history. What a sad joke.
However, this video takes an interesting tone near the end.

They legally can't. The FIA put new safety regulations about the roll hops for this season, so they can't use the 2023 car unless they completly redesign the entire cockpit sections of the car which at that point is counterproductive. I am 100% sure if there wasn't the change of safety regulation they would have used the 2023 car until they fixed the 2024 one.

Szafnauer was/is a really good team principal. He gave them fourth in 2022 despite the civil war between Fernando Alonso and le tueur de coéquipier (look it up), and in 2023, exactly what was he doing wrong? Sure, he was a horrid driver manager, but good elsewhere. I mean, he was team principal of Aston Martin back when they were Force India with a severely limited "budget" and still almost won two races!

As much as Fernando departure from Alpine was kinda fault from Otmar, it's a also a fault from the upper management in that year since, iirc, they offered Fernando a one year contract in F1 + the following year in the WEC with Team Alpine whereas Fernando wanted a multi-year contract in F1 and that's exactly what Aston Martin gave him. But the Piastri thing was a masterpiece from both Piastri and his manager, one fella named Mark Webber which you may know him. Also, Alonso and Webber are friends so they may have all planned to leave Alpine in the dust between the three lmao.

Alonso took the bait at mclaren in 2007. They hired him to have him in control hence all what they did to help Hamilton that season, thankfully that plan didnt worked out and Kimi got the championship. Crashgate is fishy stuff like Briatore did from time to time like when he was with Schumacher, Michael learned a lot of bad stuff from him. Thankfully Alonso didnt followed his path. It was so pointless, that car wasnt competitive to fight championship. It was all about Piquet and Briatore trying to keep Piquet in car another year. Second time in Mclaren didnt worked out because it was a team in decadence, most of the valuable people moved to mercedes before. Rules limiting any meaningfull development didnt helped either.

I think one of the main issues until recently (when f1 became big money) was a lack of commitment to a name, and even investment at all, constantly potentially pulling out of engines, teams, etc. and flubbing 2014 as well.
