RFK’s suggestion that those of us facing racism should simply “become resilient to it” is beyond offensive. He has the audacity to complain about hatred toward the Irish, as if they aren’t White people benefiting from systemic advantages! As a Latino, I experience racism daily in my job search. Despite holding MS and BS degrees in electrical engineering, employers still treat me like a blue-collar factory worker, constantly funneling me into lower-level roles while demanding the absolute most from me. This systemic bias has left me highly skilled, grossly underpaid, and overqualified. I've accumulated so much cross-training that staying in one role now feels stifling-I can easily handle three jobs at once: hardware, software & firmware. Few people have such a combination of skills! And yet I struggle. I'm on the verge of homelesness and I'm not ashamed of it. 😣 RFK’s comments about education and skill are laughable. Most companies don’t even care about my degrees-they reduce me to my work history and dismiss the value of my qualifications.

Resilience my foot. I remember as a young black child how my parents prepared me for the sting of racism. When it happened, i wasn't caught off guard. Even so, it didnt take away the pain and shame of it all. He has no idea of how it sounded to tell black people how they should feel abd act. They all should of gotten up shook his hand and said no thanks this is far more complex than you will ever know and understand 🙏🏿🤲🏾

Robert Kennedy Jr like most other whites don’t have to worry about discrimination against them being a Catholic because all they had to do is to not let anyone know that they’re Catholic. That’s not the same thing as a black person trying to not let someone know they are black because skin color is right out front and one can’t hide that. Plus, being called names because of your religion is nothing in comparison to being denied a job, a choice of where to live or a bank loan because of race.
