Paul, your a man of the world my friend. You don't have to go to Camden Town for fake goods, all over the Internet and KZbin. Im with you, I couldn't care less what people buy or wear, totally up to them. Funnily enough, my wife said to me earlier on that her friend has found a really cheap website that sells cheap kids football kits for £13, I just shook my head, totally not my bag, but its everywhere.

You should take a little to Manchester, in the predominantly Asian area of cheetham hill there are dozens of shops in a row that sell counterfeit everything ( Gucci sunglasses / Canada goose jackets / Rolex’s even fake ghd hair straighteners) they have look outs outside the shops… ironically these shops are pretty much directly opposite strange ways prison !

I think local authorities turn a blind eye because people know they're buying trash. If it was an AD selling fakes they'd be shut down immediately. Remember - Someone has to complain before authorities do anything.

Every time I’ve been to Camden you can see the guys sizing you up walking up and down the High Street to see if you’re an easy target I do not feel relaxed around the area. Imagine wearing a real Rolex you’d be robbed in no time.

I recently went in to watch dealer just on a side street next to Selfridges and they had 8 to 10 watches in the main office and one of the sales guys told me they were all fake and not for sale and he said they worry about being robbed ect!!! this was not an AD but none the less a real watch dealer. 🤔🤷🏽‍♂️🤦🏽

Thanks Paul, unbelievable. Not defending this in any way but just curious if the watches were priced as if they were genuine hence attempts to defraud the public or being sold at a much lower price where the seller may argue that by doing so they have implied the items are not genuine ? Did you ask the shop if they were genuine and if so what was the response ? Were they non-comittal or actually stating they were genuine ? They may be very cautious in their reply if asked directly as they don't know who is asking or if it is ploy to catch them out and report the issue to trading standards and police.

Paul, to us international viewers, i think you wanted to state how much Camden had changed a little history. Was Camden area once highly respected area with boutiques and artist shops. It looks now gone down hill to just a tourist trap with overpriced Souvenir shops, flea market goods, and a few pricey restaurants. Happening in many other cities.

You have the documentary evidence (your video) it’s your civic duty to do so .. Unless of course your only interested in glorifying the practice in order to get your viewings. There is a car boot near me that you can get all the designer clothes and trainers...never seen watches there but been ages since I've been. Maybe get caught occasionally? By the way those Camden watches are pure S**t if you want a proper replica you need to spend £600 and nobody will be able to tell a difference apart from a watchmaker on closer inspection. Paul, I was there last Sunday and i couldn't believe how many of the shops were selling these. Its clear they've all banded together too because they're all asking £120 (they drop their prices very quickly though) but not good copies at all. The straps are poor and the dials are all old. It just amazed me that they were doing it so brazenly. Its a pointless exercise buying a fake, you can fool those that dont know about watches but you can never fool yourself 🤷‍♂

I don't understand the fuss about fake watches. The prestige of owning the genuine watch is having the money or status to own one, if you have a cheap fake one then it just takes away the prestige and status anyway.
