中国传统古村落、浙江省历史文化名村、宁波首批十大古村之首--奉化区溪口镇岩头村。
岩头古村位于奉化溪口以南剡溪上游11公里处，四周群山环绕,一条岩溪穿村而过, 村庄沿溪二岸而建。明代开国时期的洪武三年（1370年）， 这里始成毛姓子民繁衍生息的聚居地，距今已有640多年历史。
古村拥有大量近代历史文化的建筑载体，如名人故里、众多留存至今的古老商铺、保存完好的传统民居。
这里以毛氏族姓为主，是蒋介石原配夫人、蒋经国生母毛福梅的出生地，蒋经国的外婆家。
古村内到处都是鹅卵石、花冈岩条石等铺就的长巷小路, 小巷两旁保存完好的古老宅屋体现出民国建筑、江南山村的神韵。

Yantou Ancient Village has already had a history of nearly 600 years, and it has been listed as one of the top ten most beautiful ancient Ningbo villages.
If you're coming to China to have a trip here, you'll be surprised by the beautiful scenery and cultural landscape.
Yántóu (岩头) Ancient Village is located in Xī Kǒu(溪口) town, Fènghuà (奉化) district, Níng Bō(宁波) city. It has a distance of 50 kilometers (about 31 miles) away from Ningbo downtown. It takes about 48 minutes by driving car from Ningbo downtown to get there.
Yantou village, 11 kilometers upstream of the Shanxi(剡溪) River, now it is an administrative village of Xikou town. The mountain forest covers an area of 12 square kilometers, including Leidi bamboo(雷竹地), honey peach base, bayberry forest, moso bamboo, etc. It currently has 892 rural households with a population of 2,426. In 2009, the total income of the rural economy reached 1.13 million Chinese yuan, and the average annual income of farmers was about 8350 Chinese yuan.
In recent years, Yantou village has been awarded as a famous historical and cultural village in Zhejiang Province, a famous historical and cultural village in Ningbo City, one of the top ten green landscape villages in Ningbo City, and a civilized village in Fenghua district.
The history of Yantou Village: From the third year of Song Jingde (宋景德三年) (1006 AD) to the end of Qing Dynasty, Yantou has always belonged to Shanyuan(剡源) Township. The village was built in Ming Hongwu three years(明洪武三年) (1370 AD), and it was once called Yantou Town since 1920. The surname of Yantou ancient village is Mao(毛). Mao has a long history and deep roots here.
Therefore, Yantou village has history of Mao's family and descendants of Mao's. For example, the Ancient Celebrities relating to Mao Zedong(毛泽东).
According to historical experts, Mao Zedong is a descendant of the Mao family in the Yantou village. And it is the home of Mao Fumei(毛福梅), Mao Sicheng(毛思诚) and Mao Bangchu(毛邦初). Mao Fumei was the first wife of Chiang Kai-Shek(蒋介石) and biological mother of Chiang Ching-Guo. Mao Sicheng was Chiang Kai-Shek's teacher. Mao Bangchu was a major general of the air force of the National Revolutionary Army. He is Mao Fumei's nephew.
Yantou village has always been simple and honest, respecting nature and making full use of its unique geographical conditions, creating one glorious history after another. In the past, the land transportation was not developed here, but because of the unique Shanxi(剡溪) River, the villagers could easily drift on bamboo rafts to carry the transportation of bulk materials, which has developed into an important town for the prosperous and wealthy businesses.

I’m so happy to see the other side of China. The tour to these small villages had given me an idea how it looks. The views and sceneries are very natural and pretty. I like the old buildings. Children can still play on the streets and cars not running over. Looks like a very safe place to live. The temples are very solemn. Love you sharing the Chinese fairytales. The Four Dragon Kings of the Four Seas (四海龍王 Sìhǎi Lóngwáng) are very important to farmers in ancient myths. When people encounter drought, farmers will pray to Dragon King for rain. If there is too much rain, the farmers hope that Dragon King can reduce rainfall and avoid floods. As an important belief in Chinese folk religion, Four Dragon King Temples are built around the place to worship the Dragon Kings. Actually in China, most families have so many difficulties with the children, when parents are away for long time. Especially in remote rural area, many children have become left-behind children since childhood. As their parents need to work in faraway cities to make money. Children can only stay in the countryside and grow up with grandparents. Such children can easily fall into introversion and lack of self-confidence. I am also one of the left-behind children, so the feelings are very deep. From the time I was three years old until I graduated from university, my parents were not by my side. Such a left-behind child will have a very strange relationship with his parents when he grows up. But the relationship with the grandparents who accompany us will be very good.There are only a few parents who make money in big cities and then buy a house. Then they will take their children to accompany and study in city. As I have lived with my grandparents in the countryside since I was a child, and I didn't come to a new city until I went to university. However, I still miss the countryside very much, especially after my grandfather passed away in September 2020, I have been looking for many opportunities to go back to visit my grandma.
