If you understand physics , it does insane stuff. This is a clever way of physics, all you need is less resistance of friction on the wheel (axel pivot point & ball bearing groove) than there is being exerted on the wheel. Magnetic pull is waaay stronger here. Clever ! Very clever. And over the heads of the Nay Sayers.

To move the wheel, you need gravity to move the over-balanced part of the wheel towards the Earth. The magnet is preventing the steel ball from falling, so there is no force pushing the wheel in any direction at all.

If you goto the website the message at the bottom of the page states: "My Perpetual Motion Machines models are of motorized versions that were built to illustrate how they were supposed to work in the minds of Inventors. Never mind what educational level we are at, we all miss something that goes beyond the usual scientific explanations. Fundamental Science, Physics Laws and boring Laws of Thermodynamics bring the ‘flight’ of Inventors’ ideas to land. Growing Technology … We live in an age of consumption. But many of us are still dreaming and believe that the era of creativity has not gone. My PMM models are built for them. I’d like to inspire these people by demonstrating Unworkable Perpetual Motion Machines that were designed centuries ago." So no, these machines aren't real. Nor is the youtube channel claiming they are... they may be trying to mislead some people, but it seems the page at least is being honest.

The wheel would only turn, if the vector of force would go downwards from the ball (to the center of earth due to gravity - like a hamster in a wheel). But that is not the case here. The magnet is the important force and therefore the vector of force points towards the magnet - hence, the wheel would not turn. Why ever the wheel is turning - it's not because of the ball.

One thing I hate about the videos on the channel, is the comments section. If this guy, who has hundreds of these devices, actually believed these devices produce infinite energy, he would have videos about a perpetual motion device powered house. Seriously people are so quick to hate they can't seem to look beyond their own idiocy. Yes perpetual motion devices don't work as prescribed; you know that, I know that, he knows that. What his channel is about is simple devices that run on really slick engineering concepts. If you're too busy looking for the strings you forget to enjoy the puppet show.

Here the magnetic force is working against the gravitation of the ball and lift it. In a equibrium position the ball will be stable in an elevated state. Since the gravitation is nullified by the magnetic force ball cannot push the wheel down by its wait. If there is a front and back movement in the magnet then there is a change in the forces acting on the ball which can make the wheel rotate. The demonstrator has to take the hands off.
@XaadeTheBlade

@XaadeTheBlade

+Lee Louviere If you put a ball like that, sure it's exerting a downward force on the wheel, from the friction on the wheel produced by the pull of gravity., however, the magnetic force is causing the ball to generate an upward force equal to the downward force, balancing it out. But, Lee, the ball can roll. Sure, but it has no reason to. Once it stabilizes the force will be the combined force of gravity and the magnet, simply shifting the angle of the total force. If that worked, then a ball at the bottom of the wheel with no gravity would cause the wheel to move. The friction caused by it moving up is just more of the upwards force on the wheel produced by the attraction of the magnet. In order for this concept to work, the friction would have to be producing a downward force, at which point, you don't need gravity... see how that creates a paradox?

This is quite easy to understand, magnets alone will never perpetuate so it has to be completed by something else like gravity, this motor is using gravity and magnetic flux, the weight of the magnet ball and flux oscillates to create movement here. So gravity and magnetic flux creates the movement. It is a way of tapping energy and actually does have a perpetual element, but you need 3 forces for it to fully shine as in self run and power a load but this one uses 2, correct me if i am wrong. The magnet can't reach the magnetic sticky point because of gravity and friction, oscillating back and forth creating movement? Knowing about the magnetic river if you put a magnet pass the sticky point it will fly off but with this hamster wheel it is always struck in the river creating movement back and forth and a balanced between magnet flux and gravity to achieve this.

@ronalddump4061

Completely irrelevant point. The magnet cannot make the device run in the first place. No array of permanent magnets put on a device, can do anything at all to impel that device. For obvious reasons. Magnets cannot do work. Your electromagnet idea is just silly. It will not work w/o outside electricity to power the electromagnet. Then, so what? That is simply an electric motor.

The magnet pulls the ball towards it which we shall call “down”. now, much like a hamster In a wheel, there is a constant uphill or from a different perspective where the magnet is down, downhill. It is essentially on a constant downhill slant and is rolling down hill. If the magnet could touch it then yes, as it has reached the point at which it can no longer go down, as it is at the bottom. But since it isn’t it is constantly rolling down.

This is a real device, but it's not limitless. The magnet will eventually weaken and stop working. It might be handy for emergency situations where you lose power and need something to charge batteries. The ball spins because there is an equilibrium between gravity and the magnet acting on the ball in different directions. This device would not work out in space, without significant gravity.

Couldn't you have at least edited out the sound of the electric motor after you took away the magnet and picked it up to show the bottom. It was really evident when you did that and the motor sound was muffled. Either that, or explain the sound itself, because I was really impressed with this idea and the simplicity of it and don't really see why it wouldn't work.

Cold Steam the efficient way to use heat sources to produce electricity and or distilled water explained from basic concept to employment. Water boils at 75 degrees F in a vacuum. Two open containers one full of water the other empty connect them at the bottom and water will reach an equilibrium 50 50. If one is sealed except for the connection the other will remain empty because of the vacuum created in the sealed container. Gravity will overcome this vacuum if the containers are taller than 30 feet. If the tanks are 40 feet tall the tanks will reach an equilibrium of water levels at 30 feet leaving ten feet of hard vacuum in the sealed tank. This makes a vacuum pump set we need two of them if we were going to distill water as the cold side open tank is used to collect the distilled water from it as the continuous input of water needs to go somewhere. Each sealed tank has four valves three at the top two of those on opposite sides (B&C) one at the very top (D) one at the bottom on the side (A), water-based vacuum pump operations are, Close bottom tank valve A and top tank valve C. Open top tank valve D. Fill sealed tank through top side valve B. Close valve B and D when full. Open bottom valve A. This primes the system to let the warm water in that will vaporize and run through the system when you partially reopen valve B (to control flow rate) and open valve C to its fullest. For only power generation need one pump set and one vacuum tank so we can have a Hot side and a Cold side one to boil the water and one to have the low pressure/vacuum to draw the steam in through the turbine then the cooling coils then to the tank. At the bottom of the cold side, tank is a return pipe with the one way valve to the heat source the one-way valve prevents expansion back to the cold side and as the hot side vacuum chamber is the only outlet for the expanding water and it is drawn by the vacuum the cycle proceeds. You can combine the two and get power generation and distilled water keeping the return line from the power generation system will let you switch if you don't need distilled water on a continuous basis in large quantities. I am going to make one feel free to make one as well it is open source.

The ball isn't being pulled down normally, don't forget the magnet is at play. It's as if gravity for the ball is now pointing in a different direction (the total force it feels is pointing in a different direction), you just see it sit at its lowest point in this new force field, while the wheel gets blown with air.

out of all of the stupid "perpetual motion" machines (yes I know they are impossible) these type have to be the dumbest by far. it doesn't even make any sense. if the magnet it holding the ball at a certain level then there is no actual force causing the wheel to turn. this is not an unbalanced wheel because the ball is not connected to the wheel and is held up by an external force.

The wheel generates friction on the ball, so the ball gets pulled to earth but it's also attracted by the magnet which pulls the ball upwards. The ball is rotating clockwise because of the interdependency of the wheel's friction and the magnet's magnetic field. The permanent magnet isn't an energy source per se, but by it's physical characteristics the ferromagnetic iron is turning into a permanent magnet, too. Now they're both "connected". While rotating clockwise, this time the ball generates friction on the wheel, which - as you can see - is also rotating clockwise and that's the point: Both are strengthening each others motion in a perfect proportion to the permanent magnet magnetic's field. The ball by getting attracted by it and the wheel by getting rubbed by the ball. As everything in nature works perfectly together (even while the menkind is destroying itself and our nature's planet) the magnetic field and the ball's friction on the wheel are getting in balance. It doesn't take much time because the needed energy to start this circuit is nearly zero, so you won't recognize, but you'll agree when you think about it. We all could live in balance, we all could be happy. You should live with an open mind and never prejudice anyone's opinion or anyone's beliefs.That being said, I want to quote a great person and hope you've ever heared the speech of Charlie Chaplin, because it never gets old... ------------------------- START QUOTE ------------------- I should like to help everyone if possible; Jew, Gentile, black men, white. We all want to help one another. Human beings are like that. We want to live by each others' happiness, not by each other's misery. We don't want to hate and despise one another. In this world there is room for everyone. And the good earth is rich and can provide for everyone. The way of life can be free and beautiful, but we have lost the way. Greed has poisoned men's souls; has barricaded the world with hate; has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed. We have developed speed, but we have shut ourselves in. Machinery that gives abundance has left us in want. Our knowledge as made us cynical; our cleverness, hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery we need humanity. More than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost. The aeroplane and the radio have brought us closer together. The very nature of these inventions cries out for the goodness in man; cries out for universal brotherhood; for the unity of us all. Even now my voice is reaching millions throughout the world, millions of despairing men, women, and little children, victims of a system that makes men torture and imprison innocent people. To those who can hear me, I say "Do not despair." The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed, the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress. The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people. And so long as men die, liberty will never perish. Soldiers! Don't give yourselves to brutes, men who despise you and enslave you; who regiment your lives, tell you what to do, what to think and what to feel! Who drill you, diet you, treat you like cattle, use you as cannon fodder! Don't give yourselves to these unnatural men---machine men with machine minds and machine hearts! You are not machines! You are not cattle! You are men! You have a love of humanity in your hearts! You don't hate! Only the unloved hate; the unloved and the unnatural. Soldiers! Don't fight for slavery! Fight for liberty! In the seventeenth chapter of St. Luke, it's written "the kingdom of God is within man", not one man nor a group of men, but in all men! In you! You, the people, have the power, the power to create machines, the power to create happiness! You, the people, have the power to make this life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure. Then in the name of democracy, let us use that power. Let us all unite. Let us fight for a new world, a decent world that will give men a chance to work, that will give youth a future and old age a security. By the promise of these things, brutes have risen to power. But they lie! They do not fulfill their promise. They never will! Dictators free themselves but they enslave the people! Now let us fight to fulfill that promise! Let us fight to free the world! To do away with national barriers! To do away with greed, with hate and intolerance! Let us fight for a world of reason, a world where science and progress will lead to all men's happiness.

To all of you who still uses the "this is impossible" cliche, need to remember something.. In 1899, Charles H. Duell , a commissioner of the US patient office said "everything that can be invented, has been invented".. Take a look at the things we have now, 117 year later. Some of the greatest minds on the planet would never have imagined how far we have advanced all ready. While these machines may not work yet as a free source of energy, I find it sad to see so many here that claims to be "smart" by claiming it can't be done. Wait another 50 years or so, and see what kind of energy source we have then, and come tell me that it can't be done. Everything can be done, it is just a matter of time..

YOU SAID: "To all of you who still uses the "this is impossible" cliche, need to remember something.. In 1899, Charles H. Duell , a commissioner of the US patient office said "everything that can be invented, has been invented".. " == Yes, because the entirety of science can be boiled down to a single sentence made by someone in a patent office. YOU SAID: "Take a look at the things we have now, 117 year later. Some of the greatest minds on the planet would never have imagined how far we have advanced all ready." == "All ready," huh? Funny. Anyway, look, there's a difference between advancing technology and violating the laws of physics. One is possible, the other is not. YOU SAID: "While these machines may not work yet as a free source of energy" == I assume by "these machines," you're talking about all of the various other hoax videos that veproject1 produces. Yes, he makes tons of these kinds of videos, using various parlor tricks to make it seem like they're working. This particular one is done with the off-screen air hose that's blowing on the wheel. In others, he's using hidden electric motors. In others, he uses cameras on Gimbal stages. So what? YOU SAID: "I find it sad to see so many here that claims to be "smart" by claiming it can't be done." == All physics PhDs on the planet will tell you that it can't be done. YOU SAID: "Wait another 50 years or so, and see what kind of energy source we have then, and come tell me that it can't be done." == Whatever energy sources we use 50 years from now will not be in violation of any laws of physics, that much is certain. The device in this video would be in direct violation of a number of laws of physics if it actually worked. YOU SAID: "Everything can be done, it is just a matter of time." == No amount of time will make 2+2=9. The devices in veproject1's videos are making the physics equivalent claim to the math claim that 2+2=9. This is entry level thermodynamics. YOU SAID: " Well, about that. There are tons of things discovered every day that leaves scientists baffled" == The devices in veproject1's videos will not baffle a single physicist. YOU SAID: "as they appear to defy all we know about the laws of physics." == Pftttt. Name one thing that defies the laws of physics. YOU SAID: "Empty spaces in the universe, and yet there is gravitational pull. Black holes are still not completely understood." == First of all, what you call "empty" isn't the same as what a physicist would call empty. Secondly, the lack of understanding of certain things in the universe does NOT equate to violating any laws of physics. Yet, these were your examples of stuff that violates the laws of physics??? Please explain in your amazing understanding of science (pfffttt) what EXACT laws of physics are being violated in your examples. YOU SAID: "The laws of physics are what we say they are." == No, the laws of physics are DISCOVERED, not dictated. YOU SAID: "For ages, physics told us that the speed of light was the only constant in the universe.. Yet, it was discovered that it is NOT a constant, as it can speed up and slow down, defying everything we think that we know." == Oh, good grief, WHAT? It's been known since the speed of light was discovered that light doesn't travel at the same rate through every medium. Light travels through glass at about 1/2 of the speed of light through a vacuum. But, guess what, that doesn't actually mean that light itself is slowing down (though I doubt you can understand that concept). It merely means that one atom absorbs a photon, an electron reaches a higher energy state in its "orbital" and then releases a photon as it descends to a lower energy state again, thus, every atom in the glass is delaying the light's arrival at its final destination. The photon itself still goes at light speed when traveling from one atom to the next. This stuff was pretty well understood since light speed was discovered. You don't know what the hell you're talking about. Anyway, what on Earth are you babbling in the first place? Why are you defending these hoax videos? Why would you choose hoax videos like these to make these statements? When people say "this is impossible" (referring to veproject1's various videos, including this one), those people are 100% correct. This concept in this video is completely impossible. The only reason it appears to work is because there's an off-screen air hose blowing on the wheel. This isn't a matter of whatever energy technologies are developed in the future. The concept in this video was debunked about 400 years ago. Another 50 years isn't going to magically make this device start working without the off-screen air hose blowing on the wheel. Everything you're typing is pure babble.

Instead of banging back to magnet, the potential energy between magnet and the ball is transferred into rotational energy of the wheel. It just takes a while, because inertia. I wonder what would happen if the contact surfaces were tefllon. Perpertual motion machines are impossible. Cool video though :)

It is not Perpetual as it consume energy and will stop once the magnet can no longer hold the ball up...

Uh, everyone who's saying stuff like "He pressed a switch" or "Air blowing", or "There being a motor", personally I don't see anything, in theory this machine is realistically impossible, my guess is the people saying this don't understand that the magnet is supplying magnetic energy causing the wheel to spin, and that magnets through constant use like that will eventually run out of energy, so there's no special tricks or catches, it's just science from what I see, though I'm not saying it's the way to make infinite energy, of course it isn't that's impossible, but it has good uses for making energy, just like solar panels. It's not infinite, but it can last a damn long time.

YOU SAID: "Uh, everyone who's saying stuff like "He pressed a switch" or "Air blowing", or "There being a motor", personally I don't see anything" == Well, that's because the air hose blowing on the wheel isn't in the frame of the camera, it's a bit off screen. YOU SAID: "in theory this machine is realistically impossible" == So, you understand that this is impossible, but then complain at people who point out that it's being blown by an off-screen air hose? YOU SAID: "my guess" == Oh, you're going to guess now... this should be good. YOU SAID: "is the people saying this don't understand that the magnet is supplying magnetic energy causing the wheel to spin" == Oh, good fucking gods, WHAT??? What "magnetic energy" would that be? What the hell are you talking about? Magnets aren't batteries. Magnets aren't like batteries. Magnets don't supply energy. YOU SAID: "and that magnets through constant use like that will eventually run out of energy" == You have ZERO understanding of magnetism. ZERO. YOU SAID: "so there's no special tricks or catches, it's just science from what I see" == Well, then go watch his "behind the scenes" video where he shows you the air hose blowing on the wheel. You'll see that you're dead wrong. YOU SAID: "though I'm not saying it's the way to make infinite energy, of course it isn't that's impossible, but it has good uses for making energy, just like solar panels. It's not infinite, but it can last a damn long time." == Seriously, go back to school and take a few physics courses before you spew your stupidity all over the internet. You are dead wrong, and you know nothing about magnetism.
