So, yeah. Generally on runeblades sequencing matters a lot. Aurora is a little muted that way and Florian is off brand in a lot ways, but even they have moments. It's why a lot of aggro players struggle to adapt to them when they're good. When Viserai was alleged to be BDIF before people truly experienced Starvo, it was a similar thing. A lot of aggro players coming off of Cheerios Briar thought it would be the same thing but with more split damage. So they proceeded to lose a lot because they didn't really get the sequencing thing being as important as it is.

Lemme start out by saying that I'm always a fan of Vynnset gameplay videos, and I really like the channel! Now I'm gonna argue on behalf of Vynnset: I actually don't think the matchup is free from the Zen side. If you watch ViceVersa's first video, the sideboard plan into Zen is to play defensively and send one runegate per turn. Cards like Reduce to Runechant are really critical in this matchup because they defend well and set up your next turn. I'm not arguing that Vynnset is an S tier hero, but I do think she's well positioned into the Mystic heroes, Aurora, and the upcoming Cindra. Great work, keep it up!

And another observation from the beginning of the second game: the Ira sideboard plan is particularly ill-equipped to handle aggressive strategies like Zen and Cindra because it includes Revel in Runeblood. Runeblood's function is to enable huge two-or-three-wide runegate turns, which is helpful against Ira, who is often more defensive. Runeblood is almost dead against Cindra and Zen, who pressure your lifetotal quickly. I'd suggest using the Aurora board into Cindra and Zen.

That SB strat makes sense I was mainly just working with what I was given for SB info, but definitely good to know for the future

@@scribnibble9828 a good Zen will not be aggressive towards Vynnset. She has far too much disruption at far too much damage and Zen can't so easily draw cards to replace cards lost via succumb or banish unlike someone like aurora for example. I still probably won't bring revel into the matchup but it's not exactly the worst card to bring. I think a bigger issue was siding out reduce and siding out widespread destruction. It's honestly just a bad matchup for Vynn tho if I'm being honest. I do agree she's decently positioned into mystic otherwise tho. Nuu is swingy but can really go your way if you get enough go again from non attacks, and you practically have an instant board clear into Enigma at the cost of like two life and a shadow NAA. Which I'd argue is better than letting a Miragai hit for 8 and hoping they don't hit you with disruption after.

Does Cindra not need to close the combat chain to get the kunais to the grave to pick em up again or am I understanding things not correctly here?

She does need to close the chain, which seems to make the sequencing awkward (you can also flick knives them though and they go to grave)

For the hand vs Cindra where you had 2 runechants, widespread destruction, Envelop in Darkness, Malefic yellow & Machinations you could have done the following: Banish Widespread (now 3 chants) Play Machinations Play Deathly Wail Wail has overpower so they're likely to take damage During reacts or resolution play Envelop (pitch malefic) via creepers & pay for Vynnset. Close combat chain to get 2 more runechants. (now 3 again) Play destruction activate flail This would threaten 21 damage, take their arsenal, and maybe end with a runechant if they don't block flail Also for the memes you could have sided-in Invert Existence to banish Cindra's daggers lol
