While F-Zero getting an anime was awesome and this OP is honestly incredible, I never really got into it due to how completely it ignores the lore from the games. I know it's treated as an alternative continuity of some sort, but I just wanted to get an actual F-Zero anime with the actual characters from canon damn it. At least the cars looked good for the time.

Calling it lore was pushing it, but at least characters all had basic backstories that the anime either ignored or twisted (especially jarring for Black Shadow's minions, but there's other stuff as well). It might as well be a parallel universe, which I guess is how the anime creators envisioned it.

Mygosh, beautiful memories: How much did I enjoyed this anime at the afrernoon?
