Can you do the shortcuts that exist in 99 on the SNES too? Like: Port Town 1 & 2, Red Canyon 1 and White Land 1 & 2? Is it just me or does 99 feel slower compared to the other ones?

Not only does 99 feel slower, the tracks' scaling has changed. The tracks feel larger in general. Also, some shortcuts in 99 are not possible in SNES because 99 gives much more height after jump ramps.

99 has larger and broader tracks in general to accommodate for the number of players, and also, the camera angle changes compared to the original, that's why it feels slower.
