@ElGuapo4000 thinking back to when I first started golf, I would try and smash everything.. but now mentally I think I’m playing this at 90% but in reality it’s probably 98% but so much better contact.. you’ll hit the ball further and straighter having a slower more control shot with maximum contact.. Watch golf videos, James Robinson and his get good at golf is helpful but it’s about experimenting mate at the range finding what works and feel comfortable.. work on the things you struggle with

a 12 handicap should break 90. as a 12 I break 90 most of the time. mid 80s generally. Depends on your course rating etc.

Checked your rule on playing left handed. Under rule 16.1b, you have to have a reasonable reason to play the shot left handed, if it’s to escape a bad lie by taking a relief if isn’t allowed. No suprise whatsoever that you’d cheat tbf

Sorry Dec, had to do it lol. Your left-handed shot has to be reasonable under the circumstances, which, in your case, it wasn't as you had a clear right-handed shot. If your right-handed shot was up against a fence with the cart path next to it, you could switch to left-handed and then take relief from the cart path and then switch back to right. What you've done is switch to left with a clear right-hand shot available so you dont get relief 😂 couldn't help myself, lad, and would absolutely have pulled the same move

He thinks it's an achievement because he's not 12hc. Trying to figure out the 18th hole. Looked like a 200yard drive, a half swing chip off the bunker ridge then 3rd shot he's 100 yards from the green. Must have flown that drive nearly 300 yards or walked it up to an easier approach shot

I’m not to sure your 100% correct on that left handed play rule 🤔, also your club length much be huge if that’s your 2 club lengths from where the ball currently was 😂😂. All jokes aside I do think you lads definitely have the correct handicaps I just think you lads need to work on striking the ball cleanly. Far too many shots you weren’t getting a nice contact with the ball and it’s the Same for Ron and Pads. I’m hoping to make the next invitation comp you guys do. Not played much the last 3 years due to my health and surgery’s but before that I was off 8.6hc so be good to see if I still have it.

Getting a lot of grief, but Essendon New Course (blue tees) has a course rating of 73.7 and a slope rating of 135. Using the shot index, par score and Dec’s score for each hole, his handicap differential for the round was 11.226.

He was playing off the whites, which is 127/71.1 Gives him a differential of 14.1 using an adjusted gross of 87

@@bg-fl5kr Essenden website shows a course rating of 71.5 and slope rating of 128 for whites. So handicap differential of 12.8 (AGS 86). Either way, whatever info is used, he’s not a million miles off 12, playing a course he’s only played once before.

That left handed drop 😅 It's half correct, you'd only be given relief if the only reasonable way to play was left handed, i.e. a tree where you'd stand. Then you can change to right after drop etc. If you try and get a drop from GUR, path or whatever, that wouldn't be allowed 😅😂

Have any of the brothers actually tried to get an official handicap, or is it just what they think they should play off?? In their Major (last weeks video) they all admittedly played pretty badly..... but really only maybe a shot per hole more than what their average play is like. I think Dec is really a 18-20, Pad is a 24-28 on a good day & Ron is a 28-34. They also need to learn about what kinds of shots suit a situation for example, Declan couldn't understand why he hit a shot so far left in last week, when the ball was on a slope quite far above his feet. He should know that this will give you a flatter swing, causing more of a hook shot. They all need a few lessons & to learn when to hit a 3 or 5 wood off the tee. It's called "Course Management" and it means you think about the best way your strengths in the game can suit the golf course you are playing at the time.

The handicaps are based off what they shot once in their whole life. At some point dec shot 84 (+12) somewhere so thinks he is a 12 handicap A true 12 handicap is an average of +12 over the the 8 rounds of the last 20 rounds played And considering there will be numerous rounds well over +12 he would need a fair few under +12 and thats just neveer happened Ange from golf life is a 14 handicap and would easily beat dec all day every day Ange just beat bullard over 18 holes shooting +9 whilst jimmy shot +12
