Honestly I like how they simplified it. That was some of my biggest pet peeves with the old train is there were so many spots to hide.

Not everything has to be so simple and noob friendly in counter strike. Why can't we have some weirdish maps in pro scene as well? Train was since the dawn of men the map where you can sneak behind, get under/over trains, lose 16-0, win 16-0. We don't need the same mold for each map. Although I like this train, it has it's own atmosphere it's not dusty like 80% of maps and it will be fun to see how meta revolves.

We have a weird-ish map, its called Vertigo and everybody is bitching about it. People just have to realize that the game has changed over the 20 years. Look at 2014 pro vods and look at current gameplay… Totally different game that needs totally different maps. But some of yall are not ready for that conversation

@@ITSFEDR Vertigo is shit because its a sneak fest + ramp simulator + headglitch fest. Nuke is also weird and probably the best map in the pool, so it cant be the weird thing thats bad, but a map being bad. Complicated maps have never popular because most people dont tryhard with a full stack, thats why people like Mirage and Dust more than Nuke or Overpass. Not because the maps are better, but because theyre dead easy to understand for the russian bots in your team and dont require communication in pugs. That doesnt mean that we should dumb down every map that has more to offer than box shaped cover and the most simple layout. Theres people that can actually learn how to play maps and dont just give up after getting stomped once

After you get used to it it is a good map, I like how they simplified it and changed things around also the rain is so stunning hope they do more different climates and weather for more maps like snow, heavy rain etc

I think this is a great step forward for CS2, thank you for posting this ! Many people being negative towards the game for not being like csgo, but the fact is that cs2 is only a year in and is performing waaaay better than csgo did in its start. eventho this design is 10/10, i can't get rid of the 1.6 map that I played for years over and over. My brain just can't accept a new de_train map. That map is 10/10 definitely tho, just need some improvements. The trick would probably do if they rename it to something else than de_train, tho. Otherwise nah, the only one de_train is 1.6 map.

Remake is much more fair compared to the CT sided, AWP dominated shitshow that CSGO train was. Ts can actually get space on this version early in the round

Why do you think every map should be equally ct and t sided? That made for the most fantastic games to watch, same as old nuke. It’s just boring if every map is only mid range angles with 50/50 round win for both sides

It's way better than 1.6 or GO train, it just needs some small tweaks. You have nostalgia goggles on. If this was the old version and they released the 1.6 or GO version now you would be calling them garbage and asking why one of the main entry points is a ladder than makes things 100% RNG.
