Gearboxes ratios were fixed in F1 beginning in 2014. Everyone had to use the same ratios, no adjustments, and the ratios remain the same throughout the year. They dont change per track.

What I always do at the start is rev up just a little bit and then at around 20 kph I basically slam the throttle because I know that I get less wheelspin at this speed. I just watched how Lewis Hamilton does it in real life, Sticks the throttle to around 20-30% and after he is moving, adds power and climbs to max revs

I gotta be honest, F1 2014 is a waste of money. AI are still crap (F1 2013 style) The drivers are emotionless, they throw fist in the air and all of that jazz but the eyes never blink. Last but not least Codemasters have to fix the safety car, F1 rules say that the lapped cars have to pass the safety car, why this doesn't happen in Codemasters F1 games?! I'm going to wait for F1 2015 and I really hope that the game be a lot better than this!! Ben keep up the good work, you're one of the best drivers out there, cheers

I know this is only a work in progress, but I'm not as pleased with F1 2014 as I was hoping. Less customisation and no ERS which was one of the things I was really looking forward to using!! CM have become lazy with their game production. With every new release they make sacrifices because of RAM, disc space, time constraints or some other drivel. Count me out for this year but I'll still enjoy your videos!

Are you really going to be able to tell when someone is being given ERS to overtake you or when you are given ERS to overtake someone else? As far as I'm concerned, ERS being automatic is the same as having no ERS at all. It removes an element of the gameplay.

You upshift very late, the cars have RPM limiter much higher than 12000 RPM but you should shift at 12000, because then the car loses power and fuel consumption is higher. Upshift when there are red or blue lights on your wheel, not when all blink :)

Dissapointed, it looks the same as 2012 and 2013... no formation lap, shit pitstops with unrealistic times and the whole pitstop system its shit... lapped cars overtake at the last lap of sc but not in the game, handling i dont know it yet but by the looks they just replaced it with 2012 handling with some improovments, same cinematics from 2011, no podiums no interviews no press conferences, same shit engineer... dont get me wrong i was hopong for a good game that will be different compared to last... and there is 4 games out and there is no fucking progress... if this was the first game ok i would be hell happy coz it looks good but same game every year with just updated cars and teams... its a shame really

You are right, I believed for return press conferences, interviews and improvements in car settings- more detailed settings and telemetry to see how can i improve car for better times. There are thousands ideas for progresses and they do nothing and want money as for a new game.But this is not new game, this is old shit in a new cover.

u re right, and would be nice if there were podiums and more realistic on the lap times, i remember make times like 2 or 3 second faster than the 2nd car, times that in the real F1 never happen. and is bored beacuse i find it repetitive win races so easy. i saw some gameplays of F1 2014 and looks almost the same than the 2013 edition(the first one ibe played) i hope im wrong and when ill buy the 2014 edition could have something new.

Of all the things people can complain about with how this game is looking just now, one thing that really bugs me about this footage and with Singapore last year for example is the constant fireworks going off EVERY lap of the race, if Codemasters wanted to show off their firework animations why not put in a cool-down lap and have firework animations activate after the winner sees the checkered flag like in real life rather than just having them on repeat throughout the whole race?
