Festival of speed this year was the first time I'd seen/heard a v6 hybrid f1 car in real life. It really was awful compared to older cars. Lacking of any sound or noise. Older cars were louder when sitting still idling than the Merc W08 was at full revs. It's an okay noise for a v6, i'll give it that, but that's all it gets, an okay rating. All those different engines being revved to the max all in one place really shows you what current F1 lacks in noise compared to cars from 10 to 20 years ago.

Started in the Michael Schumacher era with my dad in 1999. In 2002 most races fell like Monaco, you watch until L10, than when they usually pit and watch the last 10 laps and you saw everything of the race. Even as a Michael fan, it got kinda boring overtime and you just hoped for something to happen to make it interesting. When Austria 2001 happened, man, that was huge upset, not as much as the Indianapolis race when only 6 drivers started. I don't even remember if I watched the full race or not.

It wasnt that bad as in 2000 and 2001 were really exciting(2000 for the title fight and the races and 2001 was nice too), 2002 was kind of dull. It was pretty clear they had the perfect car and michael was a beast getting 100% podiums. 2003 was exciting again mainly because of the cheating by michelin, you can say what you want but those races after 2002 were something the fans needed lmao and there were some good moments, 2004 was pushing it and was boring once again even though there were some good race strategies... I think the races now are more boring because of the lack of refuelling, those long pit stops really made it harder to keep up with what was going on and there was a lot more to keep up with.(I understand why they got rid of it tho)

F1 2014 game is very underrated. It is an excellent game. I like that simple and clean look and also simple and clean driving. For me it is better than F1 2013, cars are more responsive and has better handling especially in corners. In F1 2013 if you step on full throttle exiting a corner you get huge understeer and car will spin almost every time and brakes are less effective too, especially when driving old F1 cars. In F1 2014 you exit a corner, full throttle with no problem, you can also enter a corner with higher speed and be able to break and not to fly out off track like in F1 2013. And all that with all assists off. I have no complains with engine sounds in F1 2014 ether. I like it more than modern F1 titles also, like F1 2021, F1 2020 and others. Those new titles are more complicated with so many unnecessary extra tweaks and options that you can't even use in middle of a race. For me the best recipe for any racing game is to keep it simple and to keep it more arcade because average player wants to enjoy game and to have fun playing it. Game should be a game, not a real world. People plays games to escape real world, to relax and have fun. So simulations and simulation like games are crap in my opinion, they are so intense and complicated and no fun at all and makes you nervous and anxious. They are for professional drivers not for average player. So for me F1 2014 is the best F1 game, simple, clean, fun. And in second and third place are F1 2013 and F1 2010, and in fourth F1 2012. All others are simulation mess, complicated with so many unnecessary crap and not fun at all. I can say that also for all other games. Older games are better and more fun because of their simplicity, no unnecessary crap just pure action and pure fun. New games are overcrowded with details and effects, with shitty storylines and I will say again with so many unnecessary extra tweaks and options. If I drive I just want to drive, if I shoot I just want to shoot etc. Don't give me 20 buttons or more to play a game, 4-5 is enough for any game plus movement buttons or sticks. Keep it simple, keep it fun, let a game be a game. And also my advice for any gamer, don't listen to any review, try a game and see if you like it. Many games I tried and liked are according to reviews a bad games. But in fact they are very good games. Reviews killed the game industry and quality of games because many good games are underrated and many crappy games are allegedly good because some guy said that those games are good and everyone follows popular opinion. F...ck that, make your own opinion don't listen to others. Be a wolf not a sheep.

I never played F1 2014 as my ps3 wasn't working at that point but I'm very glad I didn't because I think it helped me get a lot more out of F1 2015 because as I had never done a 2015 season, I did both the 2014 and 2015 seasons on F1 2015 with Kvyat so it was kind of like a mino career mode for me, I actually really enjoyed it as both seasons felt different and fresh. Something that once didn't exist in F1 games. Just looking at this, it just shows just how far Codemasters have come on the F1 games, F1 2019 was the best F1 game yet and and F12020 is looking even better, I can't wait :)
