1:59 - I think this is new for '17. For most corner cuts you are given a warning (as shown) but your lap is not actually disallowed. You could have finished it. In the race if you do a huge cut or amass the warnings you are penalised. Obvs though if you just start cutting on your qualy lap it'd ruin the fun for you and us.

The DNF's are ridiculous in this game. Seb hasn't finished in the last 6 races on my career and Kimi, Hamilton and Ricciardo DNF every 2 races. So i'm in 4th place with a Toro Rosso haha.

Best way get around quali scripted laps is not to skip any time at all. And also maybe the most important part is to leave your last lap to last seconds. If you start your last quali lap when there is like 10 seconds left, then AI cars wont get that scripted time at least not so many of them. I Hope this helps.

Grid penalties are more like glitch penalties in this game. 90% of the time I'll take new powerunits and gearbox and still gain grid positions on race day
