Like it so Ben sees this. Good result and not bad race. But now it is time to up the difficulty to 110 ultimate AI throughout from next race on or sooner than later no ifs no buts. Current AI difficulty is not showing your true skill and you can still fight for points with 110. You need to consider putting resource points more on durability rather than upgrades.

I vote no on upping it to 110. These videos are more entertaining when he has a chance of scoring points. He is still driving a McLaren Honda after all. I think aero efficiency should be his next priority, to unlock higher top speeds and downforce.

Yes the videos are very entertaining when he scores points but it doesn't really show his ultimate potential and it would still be very entertaining where he has to make really important strategy calls for him to score points like Alonso in real life. But i agree he should go for aero upgrades.

@Tiametmarduk you know you can check the personalized strategy... (Y button in Race Strategy screen, they are personalized to Race Strategy programme usually; also I do recommend doing Race Strategy programme in Practice with at least 2 compounds of tyres - more accurate data IIRC)

I'm near the end of season 2 in my career. And I have all 9 engine power upgrades and my McLaren is competitive with the mid-field. Since the engine patch. I've finished 7th, 6th, 4th, 12th (at my worst track)(Japan), and 7th. So doing more engine upgrades would be worth it for you.

I'm surprised that NO ONE noticed that enormous flaw with the PUs rules made by CodeMasters. You can't homologate a fifth Power Unit (thus having penalties) before actually using all the other four, you have to go with the first, then the second, then the third, then the fourth and then the fifth. It also spoils the game, because it gives you an unfair advantage against IA at the end of the season, as they seem to follow the real PUs rules.

Ben did not do qualy in season 1 in Bahrain because of how uncompetitive he was. However, when he pushed hard in his qualy sim he did a *1.33.7*. In season 2 in qualy he did a *1.31.081* that's a seasonal delta of 2.6 seconds (probably 2-4 tenths is from the use of the max fuel mixture). Weirdly, his fastest racing lap from both seasons had a delta of just 1 tenth. He had a lot of free air in season 1's race (unlike this race) and may have had a faster strategy or tyre in the last stint; not sure but it's weird how Ben's qualifying is nearly 3 seconds faster but his race pace is largely the same... What are those upgrades doing? Do they take them off before the race, lol.

I bet you are happy to learn that Mclaren will probably use Renault engines from 2018 onwards, it will definitly help your career mode for F1 2018, there are also rumors about Mercedes selling it's team for 2021 and might be a return of Mercedes powered Mclarens, there are also rumors that in 2021 both Porsche and Cosworth might return as engine suppliers, possible return of the Porsche powered Mclarens like in the mid~late 80's?
