HIGHLIGHTS DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED!!!! 1) 0:18 The rear wing upper flap passes testing and is finally fitted on the car 2) 0: 38 1st lap puts Ben 4th with a 1:17.275 on US 3) 1:18 1st lap (Q2) and Ben goes P4 with a 1:17.459 on US but gets back to the garage and he has dropped to P7 4) 2:01 2nd lap (Still Q2) Ben goes P7 with a 1:16.844 on US, Fernando is also through in P9 5) 2:18 There is a fault in the cooling system and it will take 6 mins to repair (Ouch) 6) 3:56 Ben's 1st flying lap in Q3 puts him 2nd!!!!!! on a set of US but only qualifies P7, Fernando is P10 7) 4:45 Ben and Fernando are promoted to P4 and 5 after grid penalties 8) 6:00 Ben is up to P3 9) 8:24 Ben pits on lap 8 for a set of SS tires 9) 13:32 Ben pits on lap 21 for a set of SS to run to the end 10) 15:10 Ben finishes P4, Kimi wins the race (Top 5: Rai, Bot, Vet, Daly and Per). Fernando is P13. Ok, so yesterday a lot of people said cut down on the points and not spend ages doing this, this hasn't taken ages and I have cut down on over a half of what happened yesterday with 34 points or something, I will try and keep the points lower. Any mistakes or ideas let me know and I will try improve this :)

Maybe Alonso is getting the upgrades but he is constantly set to using max wings? That would account for his still reasonable performances. Let us remember just how slow this Mclaren is in a straight line without upgrades. It is 16kph slower than the front runners. Without the front runners having engine upgrades. The AI might be trying to compensate for the terrible aero on the car, so Alonso might get faster in a straight line once his downforce has increased enough. I would like to point out that a Williams down baku can reach 328kph With your ultimate upgrade down spa you reached 326kph This means that if they get their engine upgrades they will be reaching 344kph (if the upgrades are the same bhp) Lets say half that which is 336kph Alonso without upgrades would be 312kph This is why i cannot believe he is not getting his upgrades. If a Mclaren team never upgrades their engine it would result in a 32kph difference down the straights. That is insane.

On race department there is a mod which gets rid of Alonso's engine bug. I think the mod is called McLaren performance

My guess on why Alonso doesn't get upgrades: It could be that R&D is not team-wide, but only driver-wide. So it could be that Alonso has his own set of upgrades he must allocate himself. I actually need to test that in co-operative championship to see if it's like that on there. If that has R&D...
