@@jembozaba4864 You may not be aware, but in the UK right now it's pushing 40C. Our houses were built to keep heat in, on account of we didn't have weather like this when most of them were built somewhere around the time Henry VIII lopped off his fourth wife's head. We're currently doing our very best Elphaba impressions across the country. (If your comment was meant to be a joke, I apologise, I'm awful at getting jokes online).

I swear I've learned more about driving watching the many "Mike teaches Luke how to F1" than I did in the 80 hours of driving I put towards my license way back when I still shouldn't be allowed behind the wheel of a car regardless, but still. So much more knowledgeable about cornering

I remember watching an old SOTWE episode where Luke had played a racing game and was being "scrutinised" by Mike, and now Luke's playing a full F1 sim with a wheel and pedals, with Mike as his driving buddy

@zulubunsen90672 жыл бұрын
Bit of armchair experting, but I think part of Luke's problem is that due to him turning ABS off he's now too afraid of braking too much and locking up. At the start of the braking zones he should apply much more and ease off the brakes gradually as he gets closer to the corner. Relative breaking power increases as the car gets slower so the chance of locking up increases -- but it's rather low at high speeds. This is something I struggle with as well and I've deliberately set myself a higher brake sensitivity to get a bit more braking than I would instinctively apply.

The part with the fiddling about with the strategy made me anxious to the bone. I always hate navigating through the MFD and especially communication menus while driving about, it takes away an awful lot of attention. I don't get why at least in single player one doesn't have the option to pause to work on strategy (I'd love it if brake balance and differentials could be changed while paused, but baby steps first).
@zachluetgers59322 жыл бұрын
If you put a headset on there are a series of voice commands you can use. I had massive troubles trying to fiddle with the MFD and race at the same time. Now I just hit R1 and say "set mediums" and they'll switch it for you.
