That whole thing was so utterly stupid from Russell. Just because he has the inside line, Grosjean is in no way forced to give up the fight. He can hang in there all he wants to make Russell compromised on the exit and towards the next corner. Russell just made a rookie mistake of expecting the other person to just give up the fight and he paid the price for it. The right one went into the wall. The fact is that other drivers, Ricciardo for example, were able to go through that same corner side by side without crashing because they understood that the car on the outside is not going to just give up and they can't just open up their line, otherwise they would end up in the wall.

LethalWalou mate, experienced drivers make that mistake too. Grosjean is an idiot, he always makes mistakes and he should have gave up when he saw there was no room. The driver with the inside line has the priority, that’s the driver on the outside is forced to adjust which he didn’t.
@boom20554 жыл бұрын
It's not a mistake. As George said, he is entitled to that corner since he is so much further ahead on the inside. It's always been that the driver on the inside has precedence, we can see from the stewards in the Austria verstappen-leclerc incident that even if you're alongside, the outside driver has to yield. So in that case it's Grosjeans fault 90%.
@Nox_Desiree4 жыл бұрын
@@LethalWalou They are able to go through that corner side by side but Russel was driving defensively and took a wider line on purpose to squeeze Grosjean out, Gorjean being the more experienced older driver SHOULD have known that there wouldn't be enough room and should have backed out. "Replacing" Lewis Hamilton for one weekend at Sakhir is already big enough for George's next racing CV on powerpoint.

Much respect for George. His professionalism, poise, and just plain hard work speaks volumes for his character. It's very easy to criticise a team when it's struggling but he was and is fully committed to helping Williams return to being a contender. His dedication will pay dividends in the long run.

It will be nice to see George win the WDC when I'm older and see how far he has come. This guy is criminally underrated. The fact that he has worked so hard despite it being for naught results-wise just speaks volumes of his personality and skillset.

He will be a RACING GOD. He already is. He just needs to find his grove and show everyone what he can do even with a weaker car. He's the only one who makes me scared. When I see him drive, it shows skill that I could never match. Wishing him good luck, George Russel.

Jo Millen calm down mate not even max could beat Lewis in the same car It feels strange to say but Lewis and Bottas are so underrated and max so overrated Max didn’t had a teammate this year pretty much He was lvl on pace to Ricciardo just slightly quicker and although I like Danny he isn’t really a world beater isn’t he ? George is great but how can u say that max and George can match the second most successful driver in the sport so easily As I said only one did better than Lewis And you have to be fair to yourself The new generation all maybe not even reach nando and let’s not talk bout Seb As seen you can be the quickest driver of all time (Ayrton and Jim Clark) you still be down in numbers

@@doghat1619 it's a feeling I get. Yeah I can match them. Just because you can't, doesn't mean I can't either. Each and every body releasees an energy. And I feel strong energy our aura from George. Sometimes during races, I feel from Hamilton and Max as well. But George is just something else.

I actually think that starting with this car and having all these issues is simply a blessing for a talented driver and grounded person like him, because he has learned and he is going to learn so much more than by being immediately in a winning car. I think taking his first deserved points after all of this hard work and frustration is going to be an immense satisfaction and a memory as great if not greater that that of someone's fiftieth podium!

The title should read "The Lost Talent". While Russell (1998) is trying to make it into Q2 for the third year in a row and still didn't score a single point with his own team; his peers Leclerc (1997), Norris, Gasly (1999), Sainz (1994) have won races and scored over 1000 career points combined and Verstappen (1997) is even fighting for the World Championship.

I find it amazing that the younger drivers are doing what experienced F1 drivers did in their build up careers. A lot of these teens are at F1 pace in F3 and F2. You watch someone in F1 without thinking about what they did to get there. Try watching these drivers in their F2 or F3 careers. The fact that this young lad is proving what is impossible is great for the younger drivers in smaller events. If we had less drivers buying a seat and more raw talent, we could have a repeat of the golden years of F1. Just big balls, raw determination, raw talent and hungry to race. All Russell needs is a properly developed car and a team that will keep pushing him to be what he is which is a brilliant driver.
