You can tell Ben is frustrated with this game overall. Especially the AI. He's the only F1 KZbinr I've seen point out the bullshit of this game. Bugs, broken AI, unbalanced handling model, and of course the microtransactions. No ass kissing Codemasters. He seems so bored of these games but it's what he's known for, he has to keep playing. Maybe its time you bring something new to the table Ben. This game is a big drop off compared to the last few years.

@@fsadavid1 tbf, every codies f1 game launches with bugs etc. I know ragging on EA is the cool thing to do, but go play an unpatched version of Grid (2019) on a base ps4/xb1 and then say it's EA's fault. EA had zero to do with gameplay. F1 life does have EA written all over it though lol

@@OG-512 Cover the space?? They run into you it doesn't matter what space you cover. They act like you aren't there then go crazy when you pass them and try to divebomb you in the next turn. Still it's better than the AI running on rails being boring, I'd rather have the chaos but they have to fix the AI just ignoring that you're there.

Its horrendous on Jeddah especially. I was racing a mate of mine in co-op who's a IRL Racing driver and we had to restart so many times and never even got to finish because we always got damage or taken out completely.

AI is insanely dreadful in this game, it’s wild. They’re absurdly quick in areas they shouldn’t be, ignore cars next to them, and then just drive off the track sometimes like they forgot how to race. So weird.

I can tell you one thing for certain: The AI this Year is rubbish. They ignore you completely, they don't know what to do when off the racing line and rediculous manouvers into hard breaking zones where they brake, speed up, brake, still make the corner and punt you off.

The AI are ridiculous in this game, even trying to mimic them in my own car is difficult. You can start a flying lap and then just hit escape and let the AI take over. They will place a rather blistering lap for you, and you can try and watch their line. I've tried following it on Suzuka but I just can't, they ride kerbs that i'm way too afraid to even touch cause they just keep spitting me off.

i learnt how to aggresively use the kerbs in japan thru the esses. in fact, its the only quickest way to go cus im on controller, finding the quickest way with the steering lock and the steering lock is just dreadful omg.

This game is true EA. I was hoping it wouldn’t be but it is. AI are ridiculously bad with absolutely stupid straight line speed, stupidly desperate moves, monstrous launches out of corners, zero awareness of where the player is, and so much more. The general bugs are also numerous. I literally don’t have my radio half the time, i usually notice it’s gone when an AI makes a dumb move and I go to ask Marc for vehicle condition and i just can’t bc I have no radio button. It’s a fun game but holy crap it’s so bad. Edit: it’s honestly gotten to the point where it’s genuinely refreshing and a surprise when I get radio during a race.

It’s a big change from last year. I could race 105 AI at every track competitively last year but on this game I’ve had to drop all the way back down to 90 to be in the fight. I wasn’t sure if it was a controller settings problem but I went into the old game and used the same controller settings and got up to full pace in a few laps. Hopefully just a matter of adjusting over time

I just ran a race at jeddah a bit earlier, i was using a bit more wing than you were and i wasnt considerably slower than the AI in a straight line. Also think jeddah is a bit weirdly over and understeery.

Well you need to relax the aggression on the exit of corners to fix the over/under steer and look into power train upgrades to get better straight line speed

Leclerc did the same thing to me at this race in a career mode of mine, where he takes the fastest lap. We were going back and forth, then I set a lap 3 tenths quicker at a 1:30.4 and then on the last lap Leclerc sets a 1:29.7 obliterating my lap.

That's why if I qualify in the bottom 5 I just take all new components and take the grid penalty. Anywhere you're not good at take all new components that way you have a bunch.

I'm not a pro racer or anything (I play with joystick with TC and automatic gearbox) but from 5 rounds of MyTeam and few online races, I can say that AI is really frustrating. Yes, my MyTeam car is terrible, but the fact that they're overtaking me even when I have DRS and ERS, and they just use DRS, and AI just ignores the racing line and you going through the racing line, it's nice that they're aggressive but sometimes they're overly aggressive and they glue to you (like here) and that's just ridiculous. I can see the idea they went with with the whole F1 world but it's still pretty ridiculous because not many people are going to spend coins to buy t-shirts or sofas and one thing that we really lack is face or helmet customization. In online you see 10 guys with the same driver face, I feel like by just grinding you definitely get less bonuses and sadly they're all the same as in last year's games. So definitely, improvements need to be done and I hope they solve the straight line problem soon enough.

I get my setups from TRL or SimRace because I don’t know much about setups still, but I have had to drop the front aero by 3-4 clicks than what these 2 recommend. It helps with the oversteer I feel

Hi, I’m having the same problem with high speed rotation, just snaps massively at high speed. I was doing online and every one else just flying through the the high speed and the can get on the power so much faster, it’s incredibly annoying. It’s not that I’m a bad driver, I’m not amazing but ok, like top 1000 most tracks. But this game is just killing me and kinda taking the fun away
