Tips to beat this challenge: - Turn off all assists: TC will restrict your power if you have it on and ABS promotes understeer while trail braking so have them both off - Practice the art of late braking into turns, trail braking through mid-corners, it’ll help you shave few tenths off your lap time - Get comfortable with getting back onto full throttle bit earlier than you think and you’ll save time - don’t hesitate to take short cut and use all the curbs with your inner tyres just on the white line so you don’t invalidate your lap All the best

I actually enjoy the challenge of trying to do these pro challenges on controller, too. It's much harder than wheel. You have to be completely fault free.

The reality of these pro challenges is that yeah, obviously Max can probably go faster, but it's still a very challenging lap time to nail for about 70% of F123 players. It's taken me about a day or two each to nail the previous three pro challenges. Getting this time puts you in the top 30-ish% of times on the EA time trial boards. And trying to nail this lap time teaches you how to drive better in the game in general, too... you're forced to eliminate previously unrealised driving style mistakes, improve your cornering, maximise your setup, etc. It would be silly to have Max do a 1:25 and only have absolutely top tier players be able to match it. I think its a good balance of challenging but not intense pro-sim times. I've been playing the game for 4 months and I tend to clock in at about 3 seconds behind the fastest time on most tracks.

In this game, the track is optimal and the tires are always optimal and no traffic+optimal fuel(infinite). So even with TC/ABS he will be faster than the 2023 record. I think he'll be a lot faster than this in this game.😆

This challenge was so hard for me, after like an hour of trying and my hands hurting from squeezing the wheel so hard, I managed to beat it by less than a tenth I believe. I was like 4 tenths quicker in S1 (Probably one of my favourite sectors of any track), I was about the same pace in S2 (sometimes quicker sometimes slower), but the third sector... The third sector of Suzuka broke me that day. I drove multiple laps that were on pace to beat Verstappen but then I get to the chicane and I lose 5 tenths, consistently .5 seconds of time lost EVERY. SINGLE. LAP. The lap that finally beat Verstappen had some rear locking into the last corner and mentally I was prepared to do another hour of pain but somehow I managed to save the spin (kind of) and the extra rotation set me up quite good for the next corner and I got on throttle quick enough that the last corner was no problem. Beat it with no time to spare but beat it regardless. (No assists btw so that's probably why I kind of struggled with locking up in the last chicane)

Been playing F1 games for 4 to 5 months. My record on these challenges is - Max in Holland - Pass Charles in Monza - Pass Alex in Singapore - Pass Max in Japan - Fail Max in Qatar - Pass Alex in Singapore Again - Pass Charles in Texas - Fail The Japan lap was especially maddening. @@simonkingracing Yeah I just noticed they put all his hot laps back in the game. Last time Zandvort took me a day but I just got it it one lap on a 1.09.950. First lap luck or I must be improving. I'm dreading having another go at Japan... I've got every corner down except that wide 180 turn that leads onto the back straight... I don't know why, it should be easier than the other corners. I seem to lose the delta there every time. My best attempt is 1.28.381, few hundredths off. Occasionally I make that corner in the green then blow it at the last chicane. Max is just a machine at that track. That quali lap he did there at the Japan Grand Prix this year was spectacular.

@@cayden2744 probably will never happen cause of the yearly season thing and no game dev wants to support the same game for decades like iracing has. Think about it how would an F1 sim work with the constant updates that come to the real life cars? They would either have to do a live service like iracing or dish out free updates every couple of months but that’s not a very profitable business model which is why I doubt we’ll see a dedicated F1 sim any time soon.

@@Weerknuffelbeer that’s for sector time it’s his best sector 2 cause there’s no way to get into the 1.12 around this track. Keep looking at the top left corner when he reaches sector 3 his personal best goes back to 1.29. The only reason I’m sure he’s sandbagging is cause I’m a filthy casual player and I can easily get into the mid to low 1.27 without assists and that’s in qualifying not time trial so my tires can easily get cooked if I go too hot into a corner.

You can also see in the video he doesn’t use the curbs as much as most top players do that’s probably cause he doesn’t know he can abuse those corners more than in real life.

Does his revs look funny? My revs progress during time-trial, but his look more like they do during a race qualifying. That means he has 5kg less fuel if I'm correct. That would explain why he is able to corner but can also pull back 2 10ths on the straight. Regardless, I've beaten him by a 10th.
