Although, you are free to enjoy f1 world and paying $ for useless esthetics for your lobby ; in my book YES it was indeed better under codies overall. Even if, i'll give you that, it was far from perfect. Also , sorry, but I feel that i can legitimately expect more from EA than I would from codemaster.

Not gonna lie, these changes seem pretty minor. Updated tracks should be a given, not advertised as a major feature. It's not like every single track has been reworked - only 4. Career mode improvements look good, but not revolutionary. After F1 23 underwhelmed with F1 World as its main feature, I'm worried this will be similar. They've pushed the handling as the biggest change, but its sounding like you're not convinced by it. I'm just grateful they haven't wasted time on a story mode this year :)

I was going to wait for the 22 regs to buy the next F1 game but it wasn't a good upgrade... at this point the next game I'll get is 2026. I really want an overhaul to on track gameplay, the tyre/damage model, track evolution are so badly outdated compared to other games. Watching F1 eSports is laughable which is a shame.

You see I would agree that track updates should be a given but remember, these games are made in less than a year, they have months to make a new one and add stuff, they really need to stop yearly releases to properly do more in the new games

Just give us a mode where we start in 2009 and every new season a year goes forward and we get the next years cars up to 24’ this will make multiple career seasons more fun

As cool as an idea as that is it’s virtually impossible for a studio to do. Licensing is the biggest issue with that. The same reason they no longer sell older games. F1 are just too strict in what a game can and can’t include. Mods don’t have to deal with any of this.

If they had classic cars and got more classic drivers from the past we could race against them in classic drivers championship mode, i hope next year they bring back classic cars , you could race senna in his 1991 mclaren, against shumacher in his 2004 farrari , or his benetton , jenson, in he' s virgin , Mika hakkinen in his 1998 Mclaren , Damon Hill in he's 1996 williams , obviously the cars would have equal performance otherwise the later cars would run away with it. They dont all have to be world champions , you could have Barrachello, Montoya, Fisichella ,Massa, Brundle , Berger , What an opportunity missed. And Murry walkers voice on it would be good for atmosphere 👍🏻

Only problem with that is that FOM and/or EA don’t want you focusing on the history of the sport. They want you focusing on the new stuff. Can’t really think why besides hiding some of the flaws of modern day Formula 1.

I’ve been playing the 3 rounds of beta testing and after a pretty poor first 2 weekends, the 3rd was actually an improvement so fingers crossed for a decent build in the final release 🤙 The changes to Spa and Silverstone are very fun to drive too! Career mode changes look poor. Just some renamed old features. Driving a career as an actual driver? We’ve been able to do that for years! Reputation? Pretty sure that’s been in the games since 2010…. Driving as an icon? That’s in the game every year!! Where are the new features?? “F1 World” was the biggest waste of time I’ve ever seen in the series and the fact that it has returned just shows that they don’t listen to feedback from players. You can bet that the podium pass will award thousands of F1 World car part things that nobody cared about again whilst helmets and liveries are locked behind a paywall once more. What the game really needs are new features “on track” that help players and league racers enjoy the racing, open up new strategy options and immersion. Quick pit stops in Qualy. Bring back spray in wet weather for the added challenge. Better race engineer feedback. Better setup save screens. Flat spots in tyres. Visual upgrades to the cars that reflect wing angle setups etc. proper in game league management.

Yes to all of these and for the love of god can we please get sponsors on the helmet and personalized touches on race suits and gloves. Obviously the helmet editor from gt7 or the moto gp games would be best but even if that’s impossible. They could just give us the same slots as in my team with actual control and a list of pre approved sponsors (engine supplier, team logo, title sponsors, major sponsors, and universal sponsors like pirelli) I know “just play on pc”. But most people don’t have the money to buy a pc setup or need the plug and play ability of a console. It’s ridiculous a lot of these features still aren’t in the game.

After the new patch 1.21 for F1 23, i have game crashes / freezes. ( Xbox Series X ) How to fix it?

I REALLY hope they have updated the FFB for wheels. I keep buying the game but not getting into it because it always feels so numb and doesn't communicate the road to you. Maybe with these elevation changes we might feel some of the undulation through the steering wheel. Before it was flat feeling on the wheel until you hit a kerb. Not a lot else came through the wheel really, hence the numb feeling. I've been playing Forza for my simcade fix, has lots of flaws, but at least I can feel what the car is doing.

Definitely this. Playing this compared to gt7 is night and day. It just feels so much more connected and intuitive. I feel like half the time i have to try to correct a slide visually and can’t actually feel it through the wheel.

One of the biggest reasons people play F1 is to drive cars on tracks. I really hope they start listening to people and bring tracks that F1 wouldn't typically go to. It would be more immersive and bring a another fun aspect to the game. Same as classic cars too. I appreciate they are putting a lot of effort into the career but in all honesty, the majority of users just want to drive.

It is very late, we had access to F1 Manager 24 before F1 24 and Manager comes out almost 2 months later 😂 EA seem to be prioritising their own channels

Custom liveries like that of forza and gt7, changing the look of your car ie side pods wings etc, fantasy season where ya can make your own driver line up, these are some things I'd like to see implemented. Fingers crossed next year

So you can play driver career as one of the legends you mentioned at 1:22... on one of the videos you see mansell in a Mercedes suit so are these choices on the champions edition or the normal version ... i not sure which version i buy .to get the legends in the playstation store it doesn't mention the old drivers can choose it just says 2 new team icons which i think was mentioned as hunt and montoya

It would be good say if you choose the team you want to be in you can then have an option to make them the worst car on the grid & build them back up. I always like starting at the bottom. I'm thinking of either Aston Martin or Alpine this year. Dream is to race for Ferrari but with them being near the top I'm unsure.

The reason I like watching Gillon is because he generally takes an unbiased approach to summing up the F1 games. I don’t think this is a case of copy and pasting the wish washy script of Lee.

I’ve probably posted more links off Alex’s videos over at EA than anyone else. But knowing what I’ve experienced over last few weeks. And after big shouts out to EA when content creators got early access F1 22 and majority liked how the cars felt aswell as the Ai. Which unlike Alex I loved it’s bonkers mentalness. Only to find from day one both were a mess. Made me lose faith in many whose opinions I once trusted. Because they excepted EA strict NDA rules. I know I’ve signed one. But as a volunteer I only risked losing my free game allowance when I’d often stamp my feet at EA At state off game. Until I was put into forced retirement. As EA know what’s coming when game releases. I’m expecting EA to lean in on the likes of Alex. To talk up the new career mode. Whilst only vaguely mention the negatives. If I don’t get a code this year for first time I seriously considering giving this year a miss.

From Beta gameplay, the game is absolutely incredible. At least for me. I can't wait to see how it fairs with actual setups but I found that cranking up the wings worked well.

I also have played the beta. The handling is so inconsistent. Sometimes you got so much grip and sometimes no grip at all. Als I locked up at random places I didn't know was possible

I wouldn't say incredible haha, feels alot like f1 21, but the setups and tow are very off imo, the tow is insanely strong, and the tyre deg is broken on some tracks - watch your lefts on silverstone be 10% higher deg and overheating on any setup ATM

You say that but since EA came in to take over codies every year they have been pushing back the release date since f1 2021, they used to get released in July, last year was June and now it’s May, meaning codies have less then a year to work on the new games

they keep adding gimmicks instead of requested features.... No one cares about F1 world, Challenge Career will die out. Proper league management system with stewarding systems would be better but not neccessary. Career mode changes feel nice but not game changing, and will be pointless if AI is broken in straight line speed at 110. Accolades don't add much, its just a database you could track on an excel. And for legal reasons, I cant confirm whether ive played the beta, but supposedly it feels awful without high quality setups which will kill the casual scene dead.

2025 FIA rules changes 1. Limited number of uses of drs (down to 15 in an entire race) 2. Bottom 5 teams in the constructors standings can field 3 drivers until the last 3 races. 3. Any team that does no field a 3rd driver during the season can field in the 5th and 4th to last races. 4. Damages caused by the third vehicle which were not caused by the driver do not count towards the cost cap. 5. Blue flags can be challenged 3 times a year by a driver/team
