*UPDATE* I can no longer recommend this exhaust. BUYER BEWARE!!! I have had some issues with it flexing and hitting the driveshaft of the car. It doesnt fit perfectly and started to hit the driveshaft. It has also has started to rattle. IPE has moves its production do China and since then the quality has dropped signifocantly to the point that is has cracked and dropped on other cars. If i have mislead anyone up to this point a truly apologise but i cant stand by a product like this.

Just pick up an RS5 yesterday thinking "Man this thing needs an Exhaust". Then you drop this epic video lol. On another note, It's crazy how much louder your car sounds compared to the stage 2 B9 S5 I had. It had downpipes, res deletes, and a tune but the RS5 Sounds much louder/better.

The cold start is really really loud but then the car settles down and it isn't as crazy. With the valves closed it's as loud as the stock performance exhaust when its open (non GPF). I usually drive the car in auto mode and haven't blipped the rev range where the flaps open. Loving the sound and am happy I got Catted downpipes so it's not raspy. Anyways! Congratulations on your new car! You're gonna love it!

Awesome video, Car sounds brutal! I used to have the IPE system on my MK7R, same setup with the pneumatic valves but could be controlled by remotes or by throttle position. I had it set to open the valves pretty much where the kick down switch was on the throttle peddle. Liked this a lot as you could rev it out and at the top end open the valves. It sounded good but I wasn’t overly impressed with the quality for the price of these systems. That and it took them sending my 5, yes 5 downpipes before they sent me on that actually for properly! Glad you seem to have had a better experience though! Apart from lack of instructions 😂

Yeah I forgot to say but the kit fit extremely well. Usually when getting exhausts there's always something that misaligns but this was perfect! Sorry to hear about your experience though! I would have though the same if that happened to me tbf!

Hey! Did you have to do some ECU modification after changing downpipes? I mean the problem with GPF, which is actually removed 😀 I'm planning to change downpipes in my RS4 B9.5, but no one is 100% sure about that fact with software.

My car didn't come with the GPF/OPF so I didn't have to tune it. However at this moment of time I can no longer recommend this exhaust. The quality has been a let down and I will be changing the cat back to Milltek. IPE moved its production to China and has really dropped the ball. The downpipes themselves are solid though.

@Snowcatsrt Oh, I see... in Europe, we have a factory mounted GPF filter, so we have to cut it off... 😅 I can truly recommend Milltek non resonated exhaust. I have one for 2 years, and it sounds great. The quality is nice. The only thing that, in my opinion, is missing in this set is a remote controller to the exhaust valves. It's worth buying it additionally to have a possibility to open the flaps permanently. Thank you!

@Snowcatsrt I'm using valves module, which was switched up from the OEM exhaust. The series system to control the flaps with drive selects was for me unacceptable because flaps were always closed under 2000 RPM... that's why I bought from the German brand Alpha Customs the flap controller with a remote. In this way, with a remote, I can set the flaps pernamently opened, even under the 2000 RPM. Yes, I'm from Poland 😉

I am hoping the Milltek will quiet it down a little bit 😅 Ja niedługo się zbieram na stage 2, ale najpierw muszę wydech ogarnąć. W rejonach Arabskich zawsze są problemy z valvetronic. Po jakimś czasie się zacinają, bo za gorąco, albo za dużo soli 😅 Często myślę, że fajnie by było znowu po Polsce i Europie jeździć RS5. Quattro musi być bardzo przydatne zimą! Pozdrawiam

hey man! it's been over a week and I didn't have a single CEL. With the valves closed on the road it's about the same as it was with the stock valves opened maybe a bit quieter. Very easy to live with so far and I will update if anything changes :) Thanks for the kind words man!

Love the car! I have to say though, this exhaust is just too obnoxious for me. For the luxury/sport blend I just personally don't want to wake the neighbors up 2 blocks away during a cold start or cause hearing damage to anyone near the thing if im going WOT. Maybe im just getting old, but for a high end german sport lux.. too much!

Miltek works with the stock wire harness. You literally plug the stock harness right into the new exhaust. 🙌

Man that's strange you need an app to control the exhaust. Never seen this before. I have a 15 s5 with ecs valved exhaust and was pretty strait forward install and it just comes with a little fob you put on your Keychain to open and close the valves. No apps or any of that nonsense. But your exhaust should be able to work without an app. Other exhaust brands work off the factory exhaust button like you mentioned you thought it would. Just strange. Who has time while driving to open an app and turn your exhaust off if you see cop or whatever. Then you get 2 tickets,one for loud exhaust, one for using phone while driving lol. 😂

Bruh totally! I set up the app to open the valves at 4000rpm so I need to drive quite aggressively. Better yet the app is not available on my new phone and I need to keep my old one to change anything. Maaaan what a hassle. I am thinking of getting an axle back that connects to the OEM but can't really find any brands! Let me know if you know 😅
