1:44 the reverse corkscrew! A crazy portion of track, why did they get rid of it?

They did that to themselves. The track was warned for years that they had to invest in safety measures and renovation but they always refused because they kept being added to the schedule. They probably thought they could get away with anything until the got their final warning a year before the '97 race. They still refused so they dropped Estoril of the calendar. It was Jerez who took its place. F1 vowed to never return to Portugal, until, the recent events of course. Had COVID not happened, Portugal still would be on some "black-list". Although Liberty Media would probably have added Portugal back in the future. The "black-list" was more of an Ecclestone measure. Fun fact, this is also the reason why this track is still included in the 1997 game because it was dropped so late.

@@JLvatron They build that in '94 and is still used today. The fast right hander doesn't have a lot of run-off because there is a house behind the barrier.

Hi, you mean upscaled in HD and UHD. Of course it remains SD quality. I do the upscaling to avoid the compression of KZbin in the lower resolutions. I do many edits in Vapoursynth. Scaling up has also been done with it.

second part: *moderator says Michael will comment on the finish* Michael: "at this point I can only congratlate Damon Hill once again, like in Monza the prove again, that he kept his cool the whole race and brought the win home. Congratulations obviously also to David Coulthard who is finally climbing on the podium here. 1/2 for williams [he says "Doppelerfolg, which means something like "double win" literally]", you can only congratulate them, the were the better team this weekend. They have a durable car, that always lets their drivers draw a lot of confidence. Here we see Mika Hakkinen, passing the finish line third, next we will see Rubens Barrichello, who finishes fourth. Good result for Jordan, and fifth goes to Jos Verstappen, who finally scored points for Benetton again. a great result for Jos, who started 10th and was far behind Rubens Barichello in the Practice Sessions. Now he could claw his way close to Rubens. This shows that Rubens- sorry, Jos- contiuously improved over the weekend on a track where he didnt drive a lot before, if you compare Friday and Saturday. Here Damon Hill is weaving [litterally "Schlangelinie fahren" is something like "driving a snake-line"], probably to thank his fans. Because it is not allowed anymore to show the flag of our country, we have to find other ways to thank them and that is probably his way to do that. To come back to Jos, the 2 points for 5th place are oviously important to the team and also for his confidence. I hope this also helps Jos to stay in the team in the future.
