F1 is committed in paying more then 500 million to host race in Las Vegas. They are only asking Vegas to pitch in 40 million to help in paving costs. Normally a city would pay millions to have F1 come host a race in their city. In this case F1 Liberty Media is paying. They want a F1 race in Vegas that bad.

They build a large number of these temp bridges for the F1 race in Monaco every year. A large number of the locals leave town during the race week every year because they can not stand the mess created by the F! race.

Having gone to two Miami F1 races, the first year will be packed. Then, the hype will die down and people can get decently priced tickets. $2000 for a ticket? No thanks.

The prize pot is little over 2 billion dollars. Max Verstappen, the favorite driver right now gets paid 55 million dollars a year and his team mate 10 million dollars. Lewis Hamilton gets paid 35 million a year. Lando Norris, 20 million a year. Charles Leclerc, 24 million a year. All of the teams have factories and assembly lines that they have to pay with a bunch of bills and employees. The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile has to get paid. It is really an extremely expensive sport. All available tickets to this event are right now over $2,000.

This is something. They have to block your view from the overpasses, blocking your view of the track and race cars below. Makes me wonder if some people will attempt to cut a hole in the mesh used to block walkers view of the race. Perhaps the mesh fabric will be out of reach.
