I doubt Max would've been able to overtake Hamilton. He admitted it himself, the only reason he caught up to Hamilton by that much in the end was because of the traffic. If they had both gotten through, Hamilton would've been in cleaner air and gotten ahead again.

Ferrari has had some bad luck in the past 2 races (and also at Silverstone don't forget). Seb is VERY unlucky to not be in the lead of the WDC. Ferrari has done an awesome job this year - that Ferrari is the best car on the grid imho. If the Mercedes had the same HP as the Ferrari and RBR cars, they'd be running 5th at best, race after race this year...

If anyone actually look at the footage from 4:59 it is quite clear Verstappen was not close enough to pass Alonso before the corner hence Alonso had no where to go and Max could have used the outside where there was ample space it shows that Alonso immediately moved over when it was safe. It was the misleading and overexcited commentary from David Croft that caused all the commotion about Alonso blocking Verstappen- Evidence suggests the opposite..

I find it very funny when comments state that Hamilton has only won the driver's championship with a dominant car, knowing fully well that Hamilton won in 2008 with a Mclarean not a Ferrari. Ferrari was the best car of 2008 having won the constructors' championship. Hamilton may not have the best attitude but, in my opinion, he definitely has the best driving skill for now.

Deep House, Mclaren in 2008 was a fairly uncompetitive car. Their straight line speed was there, but straight line speed is not everything.
