@@ar1029 Hamilton didn't have any tyres left so he would have had to change anyway because he was on wet and it got used up. The team asked if he wanted inters or something else. He chose Inters. It was common knowledge inters were faster and it looked like it would rain but dry tyres were not so much behind on pace. Button felt the track better.

I'm convinced that there is just a window of tyre life that he is unable to drive in. Like he can only drive well when the tyre's are fresh, or pretty worn. But I think that during the middle part of his stints, he's just not able to push, but feels like he should have more grip

Honestly, Charles is like that now so I guess hanging out with Vettel gives you that wish. Because the fact that Leclerc beats himself so much for each mistake (him talking about Styria on social media shows that) is just a proof he wants to win all the time which is impossible. I think because the quality of the radio is worse back then. The sound of the engine is somehow got caught by the radio, and your sound have some static on it, so they can't hear well

In the same lap, McLaren told Hamilton to pit for inters because there was going to be more rain AND told Button to stay out because the dry tyres were still good... Ok, each driver has his own engineers, etc., but you can’t have completely opposite speeches within the same team
