I prefer this theme to the original film's theme. That one was sort of a ripoff of Psycho, this one's original, and I think it fits the character of Jason much better. It's intense. Remember, Jason is extremely emotional and out for utter revenge against these kids. This theme is perfect. The them has to fit the character. Jaws, Psycho, Nightmare, Phantasm, Hellraiser, they all fit their characters. If they had made sequels to the remake and the remake series had a much bigger legacy, and they actually kept this theme, I could see it up there with the horror classic themes.
