Jets, Bradleys, roaming squads of scientists, etc. Should start on the Friday before wipe. This allows those with jobs, and weekends off, to have fun too. Or even better, let us server owners pick when it starts.

I think adding the bradley roaming at end of wipe is brilliant for potentially bringing people back at the end especially on weekly or bi-weekly servers. Usually after day 4 or 5 pop starts to decline, this might be incentive for people who have done everything there is to do in the first couple days to have something to look forward to and stay on the server - imagine defending a raid from a roaming tank blowing holes in your base while others try to counter and then heli shows up - ultimate chaotic chad gameplay potential.

The point of having more npc activity at the end is to make the end more interesting. Gives players more of a reason to stay on. Wouldn't make any sense to put it at the start of wipe. Lore-wise it would also make sense because activity is ramping up just before nuke time.

I have been playing Rust since 2017, and I have always thought it was a good idea to actually give players a reason to play the wipes through. I’m so excited to see the TEAM putting effort into an event later in the wipe to keep players excited and playing 👍🏻

There needs to be 3 nuke items, that random spawn during the wipe. They always appear on the map, so anyone can see who owns them. Only on wipe day does the final part spawn and if you have all 3 you can end the server wiper early. Would keep people on the server until the end

I like the idea of the map becoming more alive at the end. Servers die before the end of wipe, especially for monthly servers, and these ending events can bring people back. Though, I have a feeling some of it will just end up being what is already on modded servers, like roaming bradley and convoys, lol.

This could be a player initiated event where players pick a target and the bombs only eliminate 5-10% of the map at a time. Getting all the components together to complete the launch sequence should be a huge grind and very difficult. Nuked areas become new highly irradiated zones, destroyed bases drop their loot, armored and metal base foundations remain, nuked areas can be rebuilt in as radiation dies down. Forced map wipes for updates and server wipes can use the current “end days” nuke cycle and cinematic to wipe the entire map

The nuclear explosion, if it happens, should either start far off in the water and spread across the map, booting anyone off the server who dies by it (eventually getting to every player), or in the middle of the map, with the same concept for resetting the server, but it being visually smaller.

Would be cool if, when the timer reached 0 (30 min before a wipe), a nuke was dropped at a random spot, and would destroy/kill everything in a certain radius, and after that a radioactive blastwave would cover the rest of the map in radioactivity, so everyone have to have a hasmat suit on, or take rads right away. You might defend/attack differently the last 30 min, if you couldnt respawn due to radioactivity.

This is obviously in effort to extend how long people play on a wipe. Perhaps this is going to let you take some small amount of loot into the next wipe I.E stashing some personal loot in a small 3x3 crate somewhere at the bottom of the nuclear silo The stronger scientists would prevent you running naked to grab the c4 you stashed until a good 6-7 hours into wipe when the zergs and clans already have c4 Im sure its a terrible idea, but it sounds like it could be a good buff to solo players

It sounds good on paper, until you realize zergs are going to pull out literally hundreds of C4s or tens of M2s out of those crates as well, since it would also scale with player count, and would be significantly easier to clear it with a zerg helping you out.

It takes all the challenge out for them and make it impossible to raid them unless you are also a Zerg and so solos,duos, and small clan can’t do Jack since they have move firepower and materials to work with. A limit on TCs that could be set by the sever host would circumvent this and would be great!

Considering end-of-wipe events appear PVE oriented and the majority of regular Rust players are PVP-obsessed little crotch gremlins, I doubt it. The novelty will wear off rapidly.

Rust should make a battery you have to plug into cctv so you can watch it whenever or from your phone but only for like 10 seconds and you have to use another battery

life of a weekly rust server, first 24 - chaos and fun, 36- big groups raid each other, solo duo trio grub, 48- nothing but roof campers until wipe, 72 hours basically empty except for previously mentioned roof campers.

Tbh I don’t know what the fighters are that fly over but they aren’t f15s so I looked closely and noticed that it had one vertical stabilizer so I assumed it was a f16. But, under further analysis, it has 2 engines. This eliminates it from being an f16 as it has only 1 engine. It could be a fighter of a different class/country like an SU class(Russian) or a MIG(also Russian). Although I do not have a definitive answer, the closest fighter I can think of is actually of a different class. An A-4A Skyhawk. The A-4 has a twin engine along with a single vertical stabilizer, however the jets flying over the Rust map look different than an A-4. In conclusion, I have absolutely no idea.

I've played modded servers that let you keep a backpack of inventory. Made for some interesting end of wipe strategies.

You usually have to wait til a day or two passes because all the zergs play wipe day to try and dominate and kill everything. Having bps right after a bp wipe would be huge for a solo. Im considering creating a server that only has tier 1 crafting. Tier 2 and 3 items can only be found not crafted.
