I had something similar in my old Audi, but I couldn't get the language to change from Chinese to something I could understand - it wouldn't store the settings so videos had these funky characters at the bottom of the screen (I suppose displaying date etc). But it took great video at 1080p. Good job on this one though, it looks like a nice setup, especially with a backup camera - every car should have one these days :)

How do i install a cam that only has a red wire and not a small black one. Same wires as u have

Can it be set for the back camera only to come on automatically when you start reversing.?

Do you mean like everything is off until you start reversing and then the unit turns on? If that's the case then no. However, if the unit is on, it does automatically switch to only show the back camera view when you put it in reverse if you have the reverse signal wire hooked up. The unit turns on and off and records automatically if it senses a shock while the vehicle is parked though.

a DIY Car Guy. Thanks So when you start the vehicle do you also have to turn on the camera unit manually? Can you press a button for it to save a video if you choose you want that last 2 minutes of footage?

It will come on by itself if the power to the 12v plug in your car is activated when you turn the key. If the 12v plug is live 24/7 even with the key off, the camera will stay on and drain the battery, and in that case you would have to turn it on and off manually. I am not sure if there's a button to manually save video, the language is set to chinese on my recorder and I can't read it to set it to english, so I just use it as rearview camera to easily connect to trailers.
