He used to prank Senna as well, that involved a briefcase too. Ayrton had a specially made new briefcase with gold locks and fittings on it, he showed it to Berger when they were flying in a helicopter and Gerhardt threw it out the window ! He did get the case back though, i think they must have been close to landing at a circuit or something.

You can't blame Eddie for taking it very seriously. At that time, they just lost the Honda engine to BAR and have to resort to buying customer Ford engines. The BMW engines was the most powerful on the grid and even if there was any wisper of them opening up to supplying another team more so if its supplying for free, any privateer team principal would do everything to get it. The best thing is Ron Dennis is genuinely worried that Eddie was going to break the Ford deal on the premise of getting the BMW engines because he would definately do it if he was in the same shoes.

Eddie before I retired I was often mistaken fot you. At Loch Fyne restaurant Bristol customers were asking for selfies... and the waiter said he used to serve EJ in Virginia Waters and you do look like him, he's a short ass as well! My Customers and colleagues called me Eddie. My wife and daughters were going to see the filming of Noel Edmonds Deal or no Deal. However one of my daughters dropped out so I went and was chosen to be the man wearing the bowler hat as, being old I had loads of funny stories. My moment of fame. However whenever Noel came to me asking about me being mistaken for EJ all I ever said was "To be sure" in an awful attempt at your accent, again and again. my minute of fame blown!
