I was a client of Scania during Jordan GP and attended several events with them including the Royal Albert Hall unveiling for the 98 season, I sat next to Nick Mason, another time I toured Jordan GP and went into Eddies office where he had a drum kit painted B&H yellow. All this time I worked in logistics, our company was eventually bought by Deutsche Post and I had no idea it was Eddie who changed them from white to yellow! (I have a few Jordan GP gifts including three Scania truck models- thank you Eddie) happy new year and good health to everyone, especially Eddie. From a fellow prostate cancer survivor 👍.

Wow brilliant stories from Eddie , the one about the board room , and changing trucks from white to yellow , is pure Eddie . It has just dawned on me the stories of finding money to keep the teams alive is a crucial part to the whole success in F1. In Lotus , Colin Chapman great achievement was bringing the tabacco money in , and a host of other money in. Likewise with Williams, Frank was often off trying to get new sponsors in. And here we hear about Eddie doing the same , and the stress of all those financial deals giving him piles in the process. Great insights and fun with Eddie.

Brilliant stories EJ..Legend. Never punched? But I remember a scuffle 6 feet away from me, Marshall & Lanfranchi as a tag team v EJ in the old Silverstone clubhouse, outside of Woodcote. The marshals enjoying a post meeting beer broke it up. 1979? I think? Happy Days!

Maybe I've missed it. But have you ever had Jacques Villeneuve on. My understanding is that DC and Jacques were best friends back in the day. I have even heard JV turned down the drive for McLaren because he didn't want to take DC's spot. JV reminds me now of James Hunt. He doesn't seem to care about hurting anyone's feelings. Robert Doornbos always says that he before the start of his F3? race in Belgium walked up to EJ and asked for a test at Jordan. EJ responded with "If you win this race". Doornbos then proceed to win the race from the back of the grid. Weather conditions being in his favour but scoring his F1 test and got to be in F1 as DCs teammate at Red Bull. So thank you Eddie. 😂😂

Well as he's not here. Oh I like Eddie by the way but, I hope he has to eat his words what he said about Ferrari and Hamilton. I mean such an insult to Fred too. I mean how and the cheek of Eddie who let a 7 time world champion slip through his fingers. Not all of us forget these things. I do think Eddie talks a lot of dung at times. I think Eddie has over reacted from that comment Hamilton made in the car. I'm done or something like that. Remember what Botas said about Hamilton. He said his work rate and effort Hamilton always put in, not taking the winning for granted. Botas found it difficult to keep with him. And I don't mean on the track either. I think mostly Hamiltons comment was more about recent years with the car not being so good, it's been a struggle. Hard work to get the car in the right window, but when they did Hamilton won and Russel was always there too. Infact I think Russle may have been on top more than Hamilton. I mean what I'm saying is the road has just run into the gravel with Hamilton and Mercedes at this time. So Ferrari is going to put a spring back in his step and a new challenge. I believe Eddie will be scoffing that humble pie come the end of this year. I'll gladly eat my share if I'm wrong. New challenge new Hamilton in red and I believe he will be world champion in red and the 3rd constructer to win a championship with.
