I’m a great fan of these D.C & E.J “FFS” podcasts / videos, but somewhat puzzled by this one which is obviously old content from 30th March 2023 & only just shown, when Eddie was indeed 75! However in March this year he will actually be 77, but still great to see them back together with Jake Humphrey.

I was fortunate to be working for Red Bull F1 when David came to talk to us, the whole Team. He drove the car so hard, he is so funny, he's a natural comedian & had all 400-ish of us laughing.. One of the best days of my life. Thanks David

I've watched a fair few generations of F1 from a flat in Dublin. Championships won n lost and the good bad n ugly of TV coverage. I have to agree with Jake, these three together was all two short lived. I still get excited when I hear Fleetwood Mac come on as if I'm up at stupid o'clock waiting for these three to show up. Many laughs, a few tears. Very glad It was a part of my routine for those four years.

I'm a massive long time fan of F1 and when Jake, Eddie and DC were presenting I used to watch every single second of F1 coverage without fail. (I would also say the same when DC and Brundle were commentating (back when Brundle looked like he was enjoying himself)). These days I just switch on 5 minutes before 'lights out' and rarely watch any post-race coverage. I've often thought about that and I think their coverage instilled a real emotional attachment and enthusiasm that simple isn't there anymore (certainly not with Sky).

Love this, proper throwback. This is what I grew up on in the late 2000s/early 2010s, dare I say I probably would've never got into F1 had I been born a few years later after they ditched BBC for Sky behind a paywall. Also recall Jake from his CBBC Bamzooki! days...Can't say I listen to his podcasts, every bloke & his dog has one, but I've always liked Jake!

Infact I've always enjoyed David with what he does with presenting formerly for the BBC & now for channel 4. When Jake left least we got the delightful to look at Suzie Perry she certainly wasn't out of her depth after years of Bbc2s MotoGP weekends.

We'll, if it isn't me ole mate Jake (not that expect he remembers little old me 😂). What Eddie said around 11:55 is so true of Jake's ability to lead and make it easy for his colleagues. We knew each other from school - but more relevant - I had the opportunity to work with Jake a few times back in the Rapture TV days; and I was truly awful! I have a face for Radio. 😂 But I would have been so much worse had Jake not been so good at making everything so easy for everybody around him, with his warmth, charisma, and leadership. I was so pleased to see him make his way to F1; and he's right, four years was too short. The change to the presenting style of the coverage was incredibly engaging, and you can see how both the Sky coverage, and the (far superior) Channel 4 coverage are both modelled on those days. I'm wishing him, his family and friends, David and Eddie, and all your family and friends all the very best. And Eddie specifically, your strength and tenacity have been an inspiration to so many. May your reclaimed health and vitality continue to see you enjoying life for many years to come.
