Thanks. How high did the water go up to when you drove through them? I'm supposed to drive there end of May/early June and I was undecided between an SUV(4x4) or a SUV with modified wheels. I think I should be okay with a regular suv, no?

In late May, many F-roads will be closed, so it makes no sense to rent a SUV with modified wheels, it still will not pass, and it is prohibited by law.

Thanks. I did end up seeing a list of F roads and their average opening dates and they usually do not start until mid June or into July. There are some that may be open late May but those roads are not as scenic and it's just one or two road tat open earlier than any other. Thanks again for responding.
