F250 7.3 Diesel StartUp/Baby Revs

In today’s video we do a kinda cold start on the 7.3 IDI non-turbo Navistar diesel. It hasn’t been started for 2 weeks. First week was around 25 degrees F and this second week has been unusually warm in the 30s. Current temp: 43’F. The engine idled down approximately 1 minute after I stopped filming. I do some baby revs towards the end. I did use the glow plugs. I did not have the heater plugged in. Truck has 266K miles.

We are in the process of fixing it. We have taken the tranny out 4 times through trial and error. It finally drives. We also did the front brakes and glow plugs. Next we need new tires, a windshield, and rear brakes.We will start driving it probably after this Winter is over.
