ConnorHD3 You have no clue what you're really talking about do you? It cost me $2000 to get the door skin replaced and a new mirror put in my 01 Monte Carlo. And the dent wasn't near as bad as this. Can't tell me it'd be cheaper than that.
@priestof18 жыл бұрын
ConnorHD3 no its not totaled in fact insurance is trash when you try to total it. Im not used to seeing the black smoke though and to me that screaming abuse to engine. The body almost best to replace with like om parts and keep silent. I think trucks like these are ment for comfort and pull not off road. Was a fantastic truck too. Not keen on the rims the lift is ok i guess.
@Elfers7018 жыл бұрын
ConnorHD3 that'd be great 👍 full estimate, two door skins, a new mirror, box side and full respray on that entire side. On a full size truck at least $2000. Especially white. hardest color to paint match.
@Elfers7018 жыл бұрын
ConnorHD3 it's going to need the full respray just to get it to blend to look nice and what mirrors aren't powered these days? And also have multiple family members and friends in the auto body and automechanics industries and some that travel all over the country fixing vehicles, some that have been in the business 30+ years. Maybe at their discounted price they could get it done for that price. But to any normal everyday person, not a chance. Oh and by the way the Monte Carlo isn't the only vehicle that I own. Happen to own a XLT model F-150 that has power heated mirrors that are about $150 from EBAY uninstalled...

I actually went through a flash flood with the Jeep. Sat on the back of the seat, running the hand throttle. The vehicle started to float, until it filled with water. Lotsa fun ! IMO, better than the Hummer. With that said, it's all about the TIRES. I don't care what make the vehicle is; is ALL about the tires.

Everyone is hating on the guy but if hes a beginner then you'd expect mistakes to be made. After all a beginner has alot to learn. This guy could have been saved all that trouble if his so called "friends" had assisted him in the right way. Just before he got hooked up on the small trees when he was stuck just off the track, someone could have pulled him out. Even when he was jacked up on the trees someone could have pulled or winch him out. The many times when the truck was about to flip when the was coming off the trees instead of all the guys standing and watching they could have jumped into the tray to add weight and keep the back down. Look at all the other trucks, they are older and less expensive. Just because a guy can afford a nice truck by whatever means, parents or not and he decides to go offroading for the first time and something like this happens, everyone would choose to stand and watch and humiliate the guy. If someone had just assisted the guy from the beginning it would have been nice. Then again, they were probably envious of his new truck just like most of you haters in the comment section are.

First problem is those nitto tires, Just because florida georgia line mentions them in a song dont mean their the best. Secondly, some so lacking in off road driving skill doesnt belong driving down a muddy dirt road, let alone this. Thirdly, you bro truckers dont understand, for the amount of money you have into gay rims, diesel "tunes" and stupid lights, you could of bought a trail ready 30 year old truck that body damage wouldnt matter on, and still be more capable then this rig. Modern trucks are great to tow your old truck to the trail, but should stay at the trailhead. Oh well, guess this is what happens when you get called a poesur by all your friends while you are drinking bud light in a hayfield and jammin to some luke bryan "eye roll"

20+" wheels = dumb. You want as much rubber under a 4x4 as possible. First thing I did was get rid of my factory 18" wheels and installed factory 17" (the smallest I could go) and then stuffed as much rubber that would fit.

Great vid. For all of the hating, if you have the money why not? I don't so I'll just keep my old 6.0 looking like a beast and in tip top shape. If I was a kid I gotta say doing something like that would be worth getting grounded for a year. Nice to see a F250 come out of a bad situation after a bad situation and a bad situation after that. Definitely a good story to tell sitting around a camp fire 45 years from now. Better than some lame stories. If a truck doesn't have dents in it, you're not using it correctly anyway. A truck is just another tool. Put those F250s to work.

When I stop at a red light in my 2007 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited on 35s with a 2.5" lift, and a fellow in a shiny diesel pick-up, jacked up sky-high, on low profile tires, and sporting an LED light bar pulls beside me in the next lane and looks down on me, this is exactly what I see looking back at him.

I don't get all the hate in the comment section. Yes he is unexperienced, but it is his Truck and his money, he can do with it what ever he wants. Half of you people are probably Keyboard Warriors and never even owned an offroader.
@FordFan017 жыл бұрын
rubberfresh 1 I own a 93' F350 turned trail rig and a 17' Ford F-350 that I use to haul it and I have plenty off-road experience (9 years). It doesn't really matter if he is a beginner, he can hurt someone or himself. He clearly had no idea what he was doing. It's like giving someone a loaded firearm and having them shoot someone, then say "he a beginner". Yes it's his truck, but it was undoubtably stupid for him to do that.
@nicholasramage12646 жыл бұрын
Right half the people probably do not have a off road rig, neither does this guy. That truck was a pavement princess. And if he did want to go off-roading as a beginner why in the hell would you use a 60-65000 dollar truck to try it in. You need a little common sense to off road and this guy clearly has none
@Turbobuttes6 жыл бұрын

@jpwrangler17 жыл бұрын
Looks like he accidentally slid if the trail and didn't do this intentionally. I personally think the guy kept a somewhat calm head and handled this the best was he could. I have definitely been in those situations where you say hell with it and just want your truck out, just not in something this valuable. To much hate on this vid though.
@3.6roentgen617 жыл бұрын
Jeffrey Teal Yeah I've been there too but I always think that a carefully excited and planned decision will save you allot of time.
@bosleepsaround7 жыл бұрын
No, the hate is relatively accurate, off roading is 90% knowledge and skill, 10% vehicle ability
@3.6roentgen617 жыл бұрын
Rabid Bear Skill will only get you so far. A truck can fit in less places then a Jeep can. A vehicle with posi will make it through mud better then one with an open diff

How to mess up your 45k f250 in 10 minutes and yes that’s s very good estimate of price because my dad has one exactly like it but with iron front and rear bumpers. But my dad has two more things than this guy driving ability by far and he’s smart enough not to ever take his out like this. 😂😂
