Correct me if im wrong but i think a scissor kick is when you swimg one leg but then swing and connect with the other, causing your legs to cross like a pair of scissors. A bicyle kick is when you just use one leg overhead

TinyRodent I think a scissor kick is a sideways kick while a bicycle kick is an overhead kick. For example, Ibrahimovic goal vs France in Euro 2012 was a scissor kick while Andy Carroll's goal was a bicycle kick.
