if focus on tanking. The equipment to use should be Excalibur, Holy shield, Goibne armor set, and everything related to HP and damage reduction. For grinding, you can make Brionac just like in this video.

Yes. magic damage will also increase its damage. But you also need increase your attack stat as its damage will be the sum of Attack and magic attack.

Only below lv 40, you will distribute it all on str but right after you change to crusader, start adding Int, and yes, matk + atk are needed for grandcross damage.

hiya i have a question, after watching some videos including your past videos on Paladin, i can conclude that Grand Cross build is indeed stronger than Shield Boom, but, for farming which one is more efficient/do you recommend? cause i notice that GC SP consumption is way more than SB's, will it be more efficient/cheap if i farm with SB instead?

Yes, for sp consumption, its better to use SB. But for GC, you can use steam crab while grinding to lessen its sp consumption. .

@@TheF2PMonarch i see, so the HP/SP recovery would counteract the high SP consumption of GC. do you know the calc for GC damage though? is it higher on ATK scaling than MATK? i'm just curious what's the reasoning behind building STR instead of INT, since STR only gives 1 ATK, and INT gives you 1.5 MATK, so provided the scaling are 1/1, wouldn't it be better if we build INT for GC build?

yea, its good. but the armor for that will be tyr set. rather than goibne for tanking. So its better if you will stick to goibne and grand cross than making 2 armor set for 2 different builds.

I still dont know if the devs will early release the paladin class. If you're having a hard time grinding, doing runs, while being a super swordie, then I suggest make a knight then change it to Paladin when the job change ticket is released.

Going super 1st job is a thing of the past. People did that because there is no job change way back then. At the minimum, Crusader is gonna be released in 2 months. You get to 2nd job in 2 days. I'll tell you, playing 1st job for several months is gonna suck. No one wants you in their party, you kill slow. People who did that in NA just felt so miserable they quit before the job they want even got released. Also PVE contents that needs tank, you need to learn mechanics and proper positioning. Because no one is letting you join their party, you won't be able to practice. When Crusader comes out, you're still gonna be a bad tank because you don't know what you're doing.

in our guild before, we helped those super 1st jobs in their runs or best way is to make an alternate main job and use it to boost the super 1st job. :)

shield boom is still better than GC build, GC has cast time and delay, while Shield boom is instant cast and can adapt weapon property. just use the spear with holy property in lvl 50, Shield boom is mana efficient and better than GC

In my calculation, not anymore bro. at the start of the vid, Both are using the same lv 40 armor set. In Shield boom, I'm using longhorn + cross shield, Lv 6 Core Y Divine Light core + Shield Bounce core and full STR stat. (so its damage should be higher than GC, but its not) While the GC build, I just use Brionac + Traces of God core. (and multiple ways to get atk+matk stats from other features of the game) Also, at level 80, as F2P, using 2 armor set like Tyr and Goibne are not ideal in Global, even 2 weapons or 2 shields. We still dont know how generous the devs when it comes to gifts unlike KR. So its better to focus on 1 armor set, 1 weapon and 1 shield until level 90. While on GC build I can just focus on tank build when needed in Co-op runs, Holy shield and Goibne set. then Brionac just for grinding purpose.

i think your looking at the raw dmg of the skills, not the DPS(dmg per sec) if you consider the DPS GC lvl 10 has 2 sec cast time average on lvl 50+ crusader +considering skill delay. GC has around 13k dmg and has higher mana requirement while Shield boom has 8k-9k dmg and no cast time , but if you consider skill delay or cd you can cast shield boom every 1sec or 1.2sec. and it has low mana requirement. you can just eat food buff to maintain it

@shalltear AFAIK, They didnt change anything on pally. In my exp in TW, I prefer GC now in Global than Shield boom before in KR. But its up to the players if they want any builds for their character, im just here to make guides :)
