RE: Guardian giving 40% damage absorption on AoEs. Since Guardian only redistributes damage, if everyone is in Guardian you won't really achieve anything for the AoEs. The stun of course will be mitigated. You could instead equip Guardian on your tankier champions so they receive a larger portion of damage, which will protect your damage dealers. You can then further protect your damage dealers with Stalwart once you have a leech up and running. Let me know if I'm wrong, this is just going off of what I'm reading in the set description. Have not tested. But I don't think 40% damage mitigation for everyone, even on AoEs, is how that works.

Guardian set functions like ally protection in that the protector (or those wearing the set) receive an amount of damage as it was before it gets modified by clan boss's passive gathering fury. So they only take damage equal to 10% of how much damage he deals on turn 1. So they take basically no extra damage and the pay off is that they massively reduce the incoming damage to the rest of the party.

@@TheAdventuresOfAdam Okay, did not know about the pre-fury calculation. That of course changes things dramatically in later turns. It won't quite make for a 40% reduction, but it'll be close for sure. Awesome stuff!

Hello Adam! I've been following along your guide and created an account with the same specs, I have a rather hard "ethical" question to answer, or rather it is rather hard for me to decide wether or not i'm fine with this considering the limitations of the run. I've pulled Ghrush the mangler from a blue shard, and i'm not sure if I can use him right now or I have to wait for the actual reward. Would it be too much of a cheat to use him ahead of time? Ofc the one i'd get from the login reward would be used as a book or as a chicken. Anyways thanks for this incredible format which is really fun and opens up to a lot of possibilities.

I don’t see a problem with using him now tbh. I used the Dark Elhane that I pulled as a chicken since I’m also doing this challenge as an educational series for new players, so it would be counter intuitive for to have used her early on. But since you’re just playing along for fun I don’t see any harm in it.

Giving in to one little cheat opens an avenue for a whole lot of others. You need to decide for yourself if you're actually wanting to complete the challenge or just play for fun. Using Ghrush early is certainly going to change your progression speed, therefore impacts your challenge heavily. You have to know how hardcore you want to go through this!
