You may not know what AKA means (and should probably stop trying to use it), and I don't know why you keep saying "booses" instead of "boost", but you sure do know your way around this convoluted equipment system. Thanks for the tips my guy, much appreciated : )

One extra advice. You can time Healing Esuna (Fog) so that if you cast it right before Shiva hits you with fog, it does the normal 3 ATB and heals your target after they get the Fog status. Recommended to do this to whoever your defogger is if full magic team or in my case, I did 2 physical DPS and 1 magic DPS so only had to time it to heal my one magic user (Aerith).

Finally broke down and went looking for a guide...going by numbers I should have stomped her flat ages ago...but best I've managed is getting her down to 1/4 life before she casts a second Diamond Dust and wipes me out. Gonna go look into how to beat the last chapter that came out for the First Soldier section too..same story there, going by numbers should be easy...wiped every time EDIT: As this vid is showing me, I've been relying on Auto Equip waaaaaay too much. Pity you can't tell it to auto equip based on Phys Attack or Magic Attack or stuff like that for lazy folks like me

Yea auto equip is not optimized in this games sadly. It's best to create a team for each element and have those saved.

Thanks for the guide, I used Aerith (Level 58), Red XIII (Level 58), and Zack (Level 61) to finally beat Shiva on Very Hard. Looking forward to using Diamond Dust! =)

Did this fight without using magic atk down, at 146k as F2P. My team was Cloud\Tifa (Summer outfit with her healing weapon) \Sephiroth. Esuna Fog, Fire Breach materia, Ifrit (Hellfire) is essential for this, Tifa's Somersault for the debuff + her 4 atb AOE heals when needed, we're essential for my runs. Casting fire breach before Tifa's Somersault into Hellfire will help dealing alot of damage to Shiva. Good luck everyone.

Congrats! Yea she is definitely more of a strategy than Ramuhs DPS race.

Worth noting is Sled Fang has a much faster charge than Lucia, so Lucia's LB won't be up all the time when needed.

One thing if i may, those ifrit weapon are also really good for this fight since they boost your ice resistance ( to level 3 with a level 90 weapon, 80 is also totally fine ). The ifrit weapon from zack gives ice resist + HP, wich is the perfect combo for most of the character you'll be using, and the glenn one gives ATK instead of HP, wich is also great for the character that have the most HP, since you're still getting a ton of ice resist.

I need F2P guide for Very Hard Ramuh! It's so f-ing hard to deal enough damage to stop his bar from growing and once it fills, he one shots you.

Your guide should start with this: "If you don't have AoE healing, you can't use this guide. healing matera is too slow and takes up too much matera slots".

I sold my Defaith materia by accident, and now it's impossible for me to beat Shiva in Very Hard mode, or even the last two events in the EX 2 phase. It's silly that it's so important and you can't get it anywhere...

In the last phase if she turns veil into magic boost she loose her fire protection so keep ifrit and go for it during cast DD is the last chance to do it.

I did it with Tifa, Cloud & Aerith at only 118k power, so guys its really possible, just play the mechanic well :)

How do you have so many upgraded weapons? Just luck on pulls or is there a way to farm wep pieces?

My guess is just good patience on pulls. I'm also mostly f2p ( I bought season pass) and I have a lot of fairly decent weapons. It's all luck I'm afraid

Man they must have buffed the second phase because I’m following this nearly to the T and I’m dead right after taking out the prince, if not before then. I’m switching to defense only to heal, in semi, full speed. Like it seems as though it’s going well until that second phase and, well… no, no it’s not going well.😅

My only "fire" character, is Tifa's Attack down weapon, lol. My poor Red is useless Q.Q My current plan though IS Sephiroth, Tifa, Aerith. But I got a lot of work before this will be viable, lol. MAtk Down / Heal on Tifa w/ Defog Heal / Def/MDef buff on Aerith w/ Defog Ice sword for lack of better option + MDef down on Sephiroth will be my best chance I think w/ Defaith Alternatively I DO have Lucia. But I think Tifa will probably be better for me. That being said, I doubt i'm beating VH Shiva before the mako reactor event ends. xD I also doubt i'll be able to beat Reno (But I should be okay against Red Dragon with a bit more building.) So i'mma focus my efforts elsewhere and just not stress it. o,,o

You can do the first soldier quests to get more debrave and defaith I think too as I somehow have two debraves one star and two star.

@@goenawanarief4027 think it's the first mission in the last chapter, defaith and debrave are in it, one behind a locked door and another to the south it's the only one with a full crossroad.

actually I am running Barret for this his main wep is Heavy Houser and Secondary is Solid Bazooka the MATK down with his LB being the Mindblown for PDEF/MDEF Down. His Materias are Fire Healing Esuna (Fog) and a ruin/stat stick materia

That might be impossible probably. Because your dps will be healing instead of damage, if u don't do enough damage u lose because u can't bring down the orange bar fast enough. AoE is needed specially if your power is significantly lower than the recommended.

Sadly AoE heals is pretty much a requirement that's why Fairy Tale was THE reroll weapon for the game. Even other content creators like Payneblade has it

that wave is annoying try to make sure your ai targets one bomb then the saghin then then the last bomb that's my best way going through that wave. You can lock on target by clicking on them
