In my experience with engines in this game, you can remove an oil pan, change pistons, cranks & what have you...as long as you put the same oil pan back on, it will register the oil that was in it when removed. It is only an issue if you have a new or different oil pan. But I understand if you're unwilling to take that risk in survival mode...

Survival can be horrible I ended up getting a wolf coupe made it look just like my C124 I have in real life only to have the terrain change and destroy the front end

i tried survival a hand full of times. Nothing drives or has the parts near to make it drive, then i start to walk for half an hour, get lost, and Alt F4 the game xD
