I actually saw a real one a few years ago at Symbolic Motors in La Jolla, California. It is an incredible looking machine, however, I never was able to hear it run. It's very cool seeing this video and hearing how incredible it sounded.

@@alexandereverhart654 No way! I've been passing by there for most of my life and I have never seen anything that is truly worth admiring in their showroom. It's always full of the typical mass produced cars and the luxury yachts on wheels that no one cares about. You are immeasurably lucky to have gotten to see it in person even if you never got to hear it running. I've seen many rare, classic, and exotic cars in person, but I've yet to come across any of my favorite unicorns.

@@sjf1981 The Laferrari is an awesome machine, however you truly can't compare it to these two. These two are track legends, not comparable to a road legal car. I too have seen and even sat in a Laferrari and a Porsche 918, now while they are faster, they still don't hold a candle to these two aura and character.

F50 GT is what the original car was supposed to be. A basically untamed F1 engine in a Ferrari supercar. When they were forced to limit the revs on the standard road going car it really neutered that engine.

Papa Dragon They’re really not. LaFerrari, 918, and even P1 are great performers, but they’re quite clearly street cars first. Streetable and realistically far more comfortable and usable than either of the Ferraris here. Good luck getting that F50 through stop and go traffic.

For years I have been searching for actual footage of a 10000rpm v12 in a road car. No other car will match the is f50 in sound in my opinion. Its too bad the f50 does not perform as good as the f40. Drazen Budis Most of the races I seen so far show the f40 ahead of the f50 by a second each lap. I got this information from Hot Version where both F40 and F50 did hot laps on Tsukuba and Suzuka full track. If you have any evidence of the f50 having a faster lap than the f40 send me a link. I would like to see actual footage of the f50 faster than the f40.

Powershot Eight I did not have a timed laps in mind, but a picture of a car as a complete driving package. It is not very surprising that F40 would be a shade faster on the stopwatch, as it is both lighter, has a boosted torque and is all in all much more uncompromised machine. But faster car does not necceserly means a better car. After all both F40 and F50 are road cars, not race cars. And much as I have read and heard, F50 is the best road car Ferrari made to this day.

Odds are 1 in 3 that I've seen this F50 GT. I saw one at the National Ferrari Convention in Colorado Springs about 20 years ago, running around Pikes Peak International Raceway. I remember being shocked that the owner told me that paid the huge amount of $1 million for this car and turned down an offer of $2 million soon after. I wonder what one is worth now.

F40 LM is arguably one of the greatest looking competition cars ever developed! The F50 GT sounds incredible with its 11k Rpm rev limit. The standard F50 sounds rather lazy in comparison. I dont know why people go on and on about how amazing a road going F50 sounds. The BMW V12 in the Maclaren F1 sounds and revs how a race derived engine should!
