Insane...a race like that. That's why I love this channel. You never see this anywhere on earth. Nowadays, if you want to buy a 993 GT2, it costs so much you could've bought all the cars back then for the same money. Crazy... Impressive how well the GT2 did, despite it being a comfortable interstate cruiser with occasional track day use against two thoroughbred race cars for the street with F1 technic.

What are you talking about? The 993 GT2 is a Homologation special meant to compete in the GT2 racing class. It's more race car than F40 and F50.

This video really shows that for it's speed superiority, the F40 is more than a handful to push towards its limits. In this way the F50 is better since you can push it closer to its limits without having to drive on the ragged edge. Still, the outright speed superiority of the F40 has to be respected, and it is obvious why Ferrari themselves never allowed direct comparisons between the two cars as it would be obvious that the F40 is the faster of the two. That wouldn't exactly help them sell F50s (when the car was new), but the passage of time has shown both cars to be such fantastic and collectible machines.

No electronic and computers, no assists, no power steering, no abs, standard suspension. It's completely analog. It's 100% controlled by the driver. The F50 as well but it has electromagnetic suspension so it's semi analog.

Literally my two favorite Ferrari’s all time. Can’t really tell you which is 1 and 2. As a kid the f50 was my dream car. As I got older I fell for the f40. Both are incredible. But the f50 always seems to get little love in the auto world as a true Ferrari F car. But I think this video shows it was more than capable. Overall, the f40, being the older car, and still performing so incredibly, it’s understandable why it’s so beloved. But thank you for doing great justice to the f50. Great video as always. Nakaya-san is definitely part of my top three drivers of BMI ^^ He stays in front not by abusing blocks but by braking very late, staying cool-headed and using clean racing lines. Hattori-san is also part of my top three. He probably is a very nice guy and fun to hang around... just like when he drives.
