Thanks man. It definitely looks good, but it still needs a lot before it’s ready for anything like this again! The stock electronics were NOT happy at all with those big tires and heavy/wet snow and slush. Actually plugged up and froze the motor multiple times! lol

@ oh wow, what brand is that? Not a CEN racing is it? I know you told me before, forget
@DRZ-RC12 күн бұрын
Yea, it’s the CEN F450. Pretty sure they are the only one putting out a dually like this. It’s got something like a 17” wheelbase, it’s huge. Comes with open diffs and dog bone driveshafts. It’s not your average trail truck, that’s for sure! lol

@ those are great looking trucks. I think (probably wrong) cross RC has a dually but doesn’t look as nice as the CEN racing. Yeah that’s a long wheelbase.

@NEO-RC yea there are other dually rigs out there, but nothing like this. Fully licensed and very detailed bodies, but not really meant for the kind of driving/terrain we are used to. These are probably better suited for the skatepark than The Pit. I did lock the rear diff, but the front is still open. It’d get around way better if it was locked, but the turning radius is terrible as is, I couldn’t imagine how much worse it’d get having both diffs locked. It looks good enough to make up for the lack in performance though… for the most part. lol. It just requires a different mindset to have fun with this one, compared to the rigs we normally drive.

You're killing it, Bro! I want the crazy crewcab Chevy that Cen released! It's just a little too pricy right now. I'll get one sooner or later! 😮

Thanks man, much appreciated! I feel ya, I’ve wanted one of these since they came out, but they are definitely not cheap. I got lucky and snagged this one on a trade deal. It came used but still stock, the only thing it had was a gooseneck ball already installed. However, there was a big box that I got with it, and in that box was a bunch of goodies. Full lift kit, this set of aluminum dually wheels, 6 Proline Boggers, 6 Proline dual stage foams, another sway bar, a couple spools to lock the diffs, the trailer side of the gooseneck hitch, 2 trailer axles, and a handful of leaf packs and mounts. I traded a Redcat Ascent 18 and some full size car audio stuff that I wasn’t using, so I got a heck of a deal. Real lucky on that one, otherwise I definitely wouldn’t have this particular truck. It’s cool, it definitely looks good, but it’s a completely different driving experience than all the crawlers and trail rigs that I’m used to. I dig it though. I’ve just gotta start building another trailer now!

did you have any issues with the larger tires rubbing your back shocks? i did
@DRZ-RC11 күн бұрын
No issues rubbing the shocks, but they do mush over and graze the sway bar end from time to time to time. There’s a couple things about that whole lift kit that I didn’t too much care for. I imagine there’ll be at least a few changes in the layout as time goes on. I’ll for sure put a video up about it once I get back to messing with this truck again.
