I wanted to write a comment to say that I’ve now officially watched all of the long-running audios, and that I’ve loved every single one of them! This, A Crew of Two, Perilune, Survivors, and Spellbound are all amazing, and I’ve enjoyed listening to them all. You’re seriously amazing at making these and I hope you feel proud! On another note, I was absolutely delighted to see the connections between this and the other audios. The connection to Spellbound was the most obvious, but I still squealed when I figured out that this audio was a prequel to how Safira became the “Safira Territories” we see in Spellbound. I was also amazed at how this tied into Perilune. The entire time I was thinking “Am I reading too much into this, or is this very similar to what Ruby was talking about earlier?” I’m glad I’m not crazy, lol. Also, the references to Survivors and A Crew of Two at the end were very nice as well! It’s nice to see all of the audios I love get referenced in this one, in one form or another… I hope you enjoy making these as much as I enjoy listening to them, because I think they’re great! I don’t want you to feel pressured to keep making audios, but I do hope you know that all the work you’ve put into the ones you’ve already made are appreciated!

I know that whenever you release your next story, it will be great. However, it would be interesting to explore more of the crew of the Two Galaxy or District. Perhaps a story with a main character who is a Walex would be particularly compelling.

I love your shifter series! All of them are so good! You know, I actually got a plot bunny while listening to this one. What about people who feel more at home in their shifted forms? I can imagine an arranged marriage between two shifters where the more timid of the two asks if they can spend their first night shifted, as she/they feel more comfortable and confident that way, and can let them more freely express their affections and be more intimate. Also: better cuddles.

I have come to the conclusion that all of these major stories actually could plausibly fit into one... Aelswyth Cinematic Universe, or whatever the word is for audio story telling stuff of this regard. Dragon Queen comes first, chronologically speaking. Then Spellbound would I suppose be a still medieval era, but post-extinction of the dragon and griffin shifter races, an event discussed in Perilune. Speaking of Perilune, that comes next, being a modern fantasy. Survivors would come after that, and the best conclusion I can draw is that the zombie virus not only affected shifters easier but also nullified their magic? (Maybe the virus was created by salty, anti-magic humans in an attempt to wipe out the shifters and it got out of hand). Then comes Crew of Two, which is obviously set way further into the future. Maybe humanity escapes the apocalypse on their own, or maybe the alien races saw humanity's peril and stepped in to help? Those are all the major ones I'm remembering off the top of my head, but all in all they could all technically be canon in the same universe lol. Love the videos, love the story telling, love the voice acting (especially as someone who's getting into it myself), keep it up!

Am I nuts for thinking that this story could softly exist in the same timeline as the Perilune series? They both deal with shifters, they both deal with magic, and they both concern themselves with the relationships between said shifters and humanity. Additionally in the Perilune series they speak of no one really knowing where the magic came from and in this series they mention there being many other "weaker" shifter clans of more basical animal types rather than fantasy like dragons and griffins. I wonder if, in this timeline, all the more fantastical shifters slowly died out and the weaker shifter clans like wolves, avians, and others all began to take over? I admit this theory can be shot in the arm a little bit since this story takes place in a fantasy realm and the Perilune series quite definitively takes place in modern day North America, but in an elseworlds style timeline....who knows?

Wait... in part 2 the listener is referred to as the heir for the throne of Saphira. (Not sure if thats spelled right). And the listener is a dragon shifter. In the Spellbound series, Edmund rules Saphira after Gwen helps him kill the former king, who is said to have been a dragon shifter..... Do Gwen and Edmund kill the listener from this series in the future?? 🤯🤯

Edmund was already Prince of Saphira before fighting the Dragon King, implying that Edmund is actually a direct descendant of either the listener or Stefan (or was adopted into the family). The ending of this story also draws parallel, which implies that said Dragon King was likely one of the listener's uncle's descendants. Edit: The way magic is described near the end also implies a decently long period of time between this and Spellbound. In Spellbound, the sorceress who's name eludes me casts magic with incantations. At the end of this, Rowan mentions that magic likely will require incantations after it gets spread more thin, with the implication being it'd take generations to get to that point.
