As a guy who loves to play paladins (or holy warrior types depending on the game system). She's absolutely right that a deity of peace would need paladins. People cannot expect peace from those who seek to slay or enslave them. After all, the Knights Templar started out guarding pilgrims on the way to Jerusalem, and the Knights Hospitaler took care of the hungry and poor, to amazing lengths. Of course, this Paladin is going to have to get comfortable with getting healed more often, as once word gets out amongst the fiends and deities that a mere human is being considered for deification, they would stop at nothing to prevent it. This was a wonderful RP. Thank you so much.

"Why would a goddess of peace require an army of paladins? " The paladin took another pass down the shining blade of his sword with a whetstone. It gleamed like a razor already, but he carefully added to its sheen. His grey eyes gleamed with a soldiers' humor. " If you would have peace.....you must be always prepared for war."
Because nothing spreads the message of peace and love better than overwhelming violence.

I feel as though having a relationship with a god/goddess would be very sad. They are used to being powerful and asked to do things all the time for other people. Meanwhile they are largely alone with nobody to rely on but themselves. How would they even react to affection and care, when they are always alone and without anyone to help them? The thought of teaching someone that strong it's ok to cry; well it almost makes me want to cry myself. Even so I would do it, I think giving a lonely person a hug is the right thing I do. Thanks Nightshade!

Damned. I expected much more from the script, the writing is quite naive itself. It is not a problem of context, but some details in the text breaks the immersion. However I am too very harsh against my own scripts, so people may like it as it is. I never wrote ASMR scripts myself so I bet the exercice is more complicated than expected. Nonetheless you added so much value to it, almost outmatching the weaknesses of the script ! Again it's not your fault at all. I am way too eager to see a Fenix-like character (from Starcraft) dubbed by you too, the kind of old but wholesome warrior energy I love. "Nonsense ! There's no shame in defeat as long as the spirit is unconquered ! But enough of this."
@nightshadequeenasmr6 ай бұрын
Aw, I'm sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the script. It hit home pretty hard for me when I read it. I think those feelings of inadequacy are pretty relatable for a lot of people, and I think Varena's words of validation are something many people need to hear. And I love the fact that I could use this script to be the one to say them to many of those people, indirect though it may be. But then, a lot of people would probably say I'm naive as well 😝, and everyone is looking for different things. I'm glad to hear you still enjoyed the audio. I'm completely unfamiliar with Starcraft, so I’ll have to do some research about that! Thanks for your feedback!
@Ghostofpast6 ай бұрын
@@nightshadequeenasmr I mean, I criticize his work and not yours ; and by that I mean suggesting some improvements instead of taking down everything. For example, the "WOWOWOW" at the start completely broke the character ; she's a damn goddess ! How can she be threatened by a human dead on his feet ? Where is her wisdom and cold blood ? Well, yes, at that moment she is saddened and concerned by her beloved health, but having a surprise like this ? She would have expected that ! I would put instead something like _Put down your blade, brave one, as you always did to the unarmed. The battle already ended, yet you still quarrel your mind against your heart. In fact, It is my turn to bring balance upon you. Even so, you are first deeply in dire need of recovery. Let me tend your wounds as I shall lend my soul to rest on._ 1) Words of praise 2) Words of care 3) Words of knowledge etc. Of course English is not native to me, but my point is the character - even as an one shot audio - could benefit from more depth while retaining the wholesome "endorphin goes brrrrrr" motherly lovey-dovey words of affirmation we of course expect from it. Actually the script bounces between wisdom and teenager-like innocence "you can apply for half-godhood fr fr fr". From my point of view either would do, but both of them are incompatible (or could be made so by a mean eluding me, I genuinely invite other script writers to correct me). In other words I don't know if I have to take the character as a mature motherly figure or a young, sensible and naive teenager. Well, both is good but I feel the problem comes from her alternating chaotically between them with no much coherence. That is one flaw amid a lot of other ones, however pointing them all would be quite counter productive for the two (three ?) of us. At worse let's agree to disagree. I'm just a random person on the internet, so feel free to take in account or not what I suggest. This script is rough around the edges, but that won't stop me from continuing to like your content. In fact, I am still eager to collaborate or commission you if my schedule permits it. So for now I stay as a regular subscriber.

I let others take my tent because I know I can handle the storm, and I train day and night because I want to win. I do it all for selfish reasons I’m afraid… I want to feel good about myself, and helping others makes me feel good, I hate accepting praise because I don’t want it.
