There is something tranquil, yet haunting about the world-specific time rifts. We stare into a snapshot of past, and it stares back silently. Endless ocean, a bottomless ocean, clear as glass with no other island in sight. Everything is quiet except for the ambient humming and miscellaneous noises from the environment. You are, for the most part, alone in this anomaly, and feelings of melancholy and tranquility. Only you can try to make sense of this loneliness. You can also say the miscellaneous time rifts exist below the world-specific rifts far deep below where only darkness can be seen from above since, again, these world rifts appear on the surface of water, while the others take place underwater. You can draw some parallels here on how time is an ocean, not a river (thanks Bioshock). The surface is always changing, thus different timelines and stories are born. But the deep is unknown, and remains mysterious and independent from the surface despite being part of the same body, much like the other rifts.

I have since replayed this game and eventually plan to buy the DLCs, when money is less tight! thank you gears for breakfast for creating such a core memory for me. Clocktowers beneath the sea is by far the most magical song ive ever heard. Playing the level and viewing the deepness of the ocean, whales hovering overhead as clocktowers jut from the endless abyss to comfort you with familiarity of home. A boundless expanse of ocean and civilization weigh on your person and as you think youre going to drown in the splendor of the cold depths you are greeted with warmth, excitement, and the tenacity to explore its boundaries. Engulfed in what is a childs imagination and a nostalgic feeling overwhelms your adult mind, bring you back to your roots of...when you were a child. Overall great experience
