You can’t fucking erase Vince McMahon from WWE history, that’s fucking ridiculous. You can’t erase history, they couldn’t with Benoit even though they tried their hardest to. I always felt WWE were in denial after the Benoit tragedy for years, WWE’s mentality was that it never happened and just forgot Benoit ever existed. And that’s not a healthy mentality to have, to fully recover from such a shock, and tbh since the Benoit tragedy happened I don’t think WWE ever fully recovered from that.

It’s messed up because if watching that then or even 5 years ago wasn’t uncomfortable for you to watch then I don’t know what to tell you. Go back and watch him in that demonic voice tell Trish to take her clothes off, and again making her get down on her knees and bark like a dog. That was on freaking TV. Personal behaviour aside; the dumbest move Vince McMahon made was allowing WWE to become a publicly traded company. It should have remained a McMahon entity and been run by McMahons and McMahons only. Vince should have never sold to TKO and WWE should have been passed down to Shane and Stephanie the way his father passed it down to him, and then to their children after that, and so on. The Wild West days of the WWF were far more appealing to most old school fans and part of the problem IS today's climate! The standards of 2024 have grown ridiculous and nowadays everyone is looking to out somebody for something. What Vince did in this case is above and beyond the acceptable, clearly, but we don't know the full facts and her text responses to him will certainly paint a bigger picture. Either way, if I had the chance to hop on a time machine back to the glory days of wrestling and the WWF when what happened on the road stayed on the road, I definitely would. A subset of the wrestling audience of today leaves FAR more to be desired in many ways!
