Shadowboost Highly doubt it. I saw an acceleration video of the SF90 Stradale vs LaFerrari, and that thing moves. It’s AWD and has instant torque. I don’t really see a win for the 765LT against it in a straight line, but maybe on track. I would back the SF90 Stradale to take it in a drag against the Senna. Before I would’ve backed the Senna. The LT’s also don’t usually tend to be MUCH quicker than the S. There’s a video of the 650S Spider vs 675LT here, and they were quite close. The 765LT also has a lower top speed than the 720S, we’ll see how much the downforce affects it.

Chicago1 except for Brooks actually liked this comment. There are a lot of lower end cars that have been modified to get into the low 11s or even 10s in the quarter mile without spending a fortune. It is just another idea for some content and Brooks doesn’t seem adverse to it. I would rather see a Modified Kia Stinger run a close race against a Modified INFINITI Q50s than not see any content at all. Freddie Jones I wouldn’t say anyone’s far ahead of anyone. Example, McLaren and Ferrari competes with the 2015 488 GTB and 2014 650S. While the McLaren here was quicker straight line, the Ferrari was quicker on track. Now with the 720S and F8 Tributo, the 720S is quicker straight line, of course it’s underrated but though it’s not a massive difference between the two, but a clear one. On track, both have a victory each over each other. So wouldn’t say far ahead. They’re both doing well in their respect.

As a Ferrari fan, I'm happy that Ferrari stepped it up with the 488 Pista Pista and F8 Tributo. But I think Ferrari took notes from what McLaren did with the 720s.

I don’t think Ferrari took notes from McLaren, nor vice versa. Even though the 720S and F8 compete, the F8 Tributo takes a lot from the past V8 Ferrari cars. And the 488 Pista doesn’t even compete with the 720S so different purpose. I would assume if Ferrari took notes from McLaren, they would’ve opted for a carbon tub to reduce the weight. I doubt either took notes from each other, they both have successful racing pedigree and research data that they implement in road cars.

@@projectr2451 Given the 488 Pista hadn't been released prior to McLaren producing the 720s, is there even a reason for "vise versa"? Even though the 488 Pista isn't the 720s' direct competitor, it is clear Ferrari targeted that McLaren. The engine and acceleration specs of both cars (on paper) are nearly identical. In fact, even the Pista's dry weight (as listed by Ferrari) puts in pretty much on par with the 720s' dry weight. McLaren listed the 720s' dry weight at 1283kg, while Ferrari listed the Pista's at 1280kg. But I think we all know which car is lighter/heavier, despite what those figures reveal. I think we all know who is "lying," between the two supercar manufacturers. But that's what I meant by stating Ferrari took notes from what McLaren did with the 720s. "Targeted," would've been the better choice of word, in my previous comments. I think Ferrari concentrated or focused on 720s in producing the 488 Pista, and then, depending upon the outcome, decided to produce a rival to the 720s, based on the engine and performance spec of the Pista.

Just like you say I have no proof that McLaren is underrated even though dyno numbers show it, you have no proof that Ferrari lied about the dry weight of the car. Unless you weighed it yourself all with lightweight options and no fluids? Also, I still wouldn’t say Ferrari targeted McLaren. The drop from the 458 Italia to 458 Speciale was 200lbs (90kg), and it was the same with the 488 GTB to 488 Pista. To me, they used similar weight reduction methods as previous generations, it wasn’t necessarily targeting McLaren. Because they knew how fast it was, so if they really wanted to compete with it, they could’ve added more power. They make V12’s that produce 800hp+ The same way that the drop from 650S to 675LT was 100kg, and the same happened from 570S to 600LT.

Ferrari learned from McLaren? Nope. And McLaren didn’t learn from Ferrari either. They both have motorsport teams and other programmes in which they collect data and apply research to their road cars. If Ferrari learnt from McLaren, surely the F8 Tributo would have a carbon tub? Surely it would be underrated? I don’t think there’s much of the same features that Ferrari took from the 720S with the F8 Tributo. The F8 Tributo actually takes from the F40, 488 GTB, 488 Pista, that’s why it’s the Tributo, meaning tribute. It tributes some of the V8 cars from Ferrari. I assume F is Ferrari or Fiorano, and 8 is for the V8.

I think from a dig it would be neck n neck til 120 against a 720s but just like always the 720 has that top end and would slowly walk the F8. The Ferrari starts with turbos so you can just slap a tune on it and raise hp for a lot less $$$$$ than having to pay to twin turbo the lambo. If you can add turbos to the lambo, you can just as easily add bigger turbos to the Ferrari so your logic isnt making much sense.

Those companies have also twin turbo'd F430s and F458s but it just isnt as popular. Again, you can mod anything you want and now that the Ferraris come with turbos they can add much more hp easier with a tune than having to add turbos to an engine that doesnt have them.

Alex In_Off No customer spec Lamborghini has done it that quick either looool, Lamborghini used prototypes with roll cages to achieve those times. You can’t walk into a showroom and but the Performante, SV or SVJ as it was on their laps. When a customer spec Performante lapped the ring, it achieved 7:07.99, barely quicker than the 600LT and 720S.

@@raybsure7438 race gas? what are you talking about. All these cars are running on pump. You can get Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires which are street tires. Would do 9.8 on those. 720S has run 9.9 on Pirelli Corsas.

Very good performance from evo despite having 80hp less and way lower torque. The f8 managed to pass the evo after 4th gear

Everyone Plz. Remember the 720s is old now, 3-4 year old car and it’s still gonna pull past the 2020 F8. A car from 2018 still outrunning a brand new latest tech F8. The 765LT is what the F8 should be competing with.

Exotics 4 Life @ the f8 isn’t new tech, is still 458😂 and it’s almost 2 years old too my friend, the sf90 is the first really brand new tech Ferrari, al other are still based of either 458 or 599, Ferrari did he criticised a lot for that

So from that last chart, in trimming to stick with the process used with old timing technology, what you really have it's a rolling race from approx 5 mph to 60, not zero to 60 etc. spring drag racing into the 21st century and actually measure from 0 to 60. If you want to compare with old-timey cars, just add the time for that half foot for comparison purposes.

If you swapped out the spark plugs for NGK TYPE R and drop in custom fit K&N air filters in you’d see a nice improvement in 0-60 & 1/4 mile
