F80 M3 Trackday #21 - Sonoma Raceway - SpeedSF 11/19/23

Thirty-ninth track day. Back to Sonoma after 2 years with the F80.
Finally was able to put down some solid laps after having traffic troubles the last few events.
Hit the lap range I have been trying to shoot for. 1:51:81.
Sessions were pretty good aside from slow Miata's and being sent out in the wrong order for session 3 by marshal.
The weather was really great minus a few wet spots from the previous days showers.
Most of the water spots dried up. However there were still a few turns that had to be taken with extra care. Mainly turn one hill, under the bridge.
First event trying out a set of Continental Extreme Contact Force tires.
I would say they are on par, if not better than NT01's in terms of pace. Still not the fastest 200tw. Lasted the entire session going ham and never felt greasy. Locked in hot temps to 34psi all around. Perfect rollover.

Nicely done man! I had my first track day at sonoma a couple months ago in my f82. Can definitely learn a lot from watching your lines and throttle. How do you like those brake pads?

Sonoma is an intimidating place to track. Especially for your first event! I am a huge fan of PFC. Ran a few of their compounds for most of my tracking time, on both my cars. Wanted to try something different. Had the chance to buy several sets of pads at a discount recently. (Raybestos ST-45 and these Project Mu H21. Both are very similar pads) Ran the Mu's for the first time this event. Had no issues of any kind in braking department. They are pretty quiet compared to pfc 08/11/333/ferodo 1.11. Almost no noise. No issues with pedal modulation or feel. Suppose to have really good wear (which i am after). Barely took any material away throughout the 5 sessions. I dont really wash my wheels to comment on brake dust. Im sure they are just as bad as any other race pad. They come in a baby blue color that I kinda dig. Pops inside the wheel well. Not sure they would be my first choice normally but at the price i got them. I will run them all day. They performed great.
